Never forgot watching Derek paddle in from God knows where (either rock piles or outside logs), sun was setting, I was at debatable OTW...he "paddled" into a bomb left at Insanities and did the most effortless air drop take off into that unique area of the reef...it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen....he became my hero that day, and I'm a sponger🤘🤙🤙🤘
