Great vid, super informative stuff, keep it up :). Personally I would like to see you do one on the Mordekaiser matchup, since we might be seeing that a ton more next season.
I always rush gore cause it has pickaxe in buildpath. I dislike rusking cleaver cause it only has 3 longsworda in builpath. In general I go gore -> deaths dance Unless I am even or behind and vs tanky comp, then I'll opt for cleaver 2nd. I only build seryldas late in game, never really early, more like 5-6 th item
Does taking prio vs ranged matchups apply to mostly just riven since she's able to crash the second/third wave easily without taking too much damage thanks to her waveclear+e shield? If I was playing fiora for example I would let gnar push into me since I can't really clear the wave fast when I will need to crash it and I don't have anything other than parry to mitigate damage, is this right?
@@AloisNL Ok thank you, I was always conceding wave prio and cs in the first 3 waves vs range champs so my first back has always been awkward with gold, I'll try to play more aggro next time
Could you do a macro guide on what do to after you gained an advantage in the early game? When do we teamfight, when do we split push? Also maybe you could show us what you do when you lost the early game.
I just played a game where me and Gnar went even all laning phase, where he did what you explained here (TP back in after crashing wave). He had 6 first and I was never able to engage on him since he would just kite me out and E away if I ever was almost on top of him, and my jng never really ganked since we could not pin him down (he was Kha). What's the strategy there? Make him waste E, try to get him to waste flash and then ask for gank while flash is down? Problem is, you would need kha to stay for a 2nd gank, since you have to force out the flash, and you cannot really unless he completely messes up the spacing and lets you R him (at which point he has to flash). There's also him getting mega gnar. Am I missing something or is this really hard with no advantage pre 6? I ended up losing because since we were even he would just chunk me preemptively in teamfights (and to be honest I didn't really think of flanking their backline). But yeah, how do you get advantage in this lane if he does TP back in?
ok that slow pushing at the end to wait out his mega gnar while timing q perfectly was actually genius. what a detailed play right there.
best Riven content on RUclips right now!
King
favorite riven channel by far. I've learned so much in such a short amount of time.

Trying to find him😶🌫️
This content is so helpful and great thank you!!
Good content. May I suggest Tryndamere matchup at some point?
Absolutely
hey bro do you ever rush black cleaver into tanks? e.g. ornn / malphite? and when would you recommend going seryldas over black cleaver?

Fioras early levels are very strong + if u get prio it will be easier for you to proc vitals. I personally would still look to play for prio into Gnar
