The blank Friendship command you got in this seed is actually Group Esuna, which was dummied out and removed from the game's code, but it's Command Slot still exists in the game. Victory Pose completely replaced Taunt, so that slot is filled. When you equipped it, it did nothing, however it was still equipped on the same slot as Cure.

imagine if you could turn off specific command styles (or maybs styles altogether) and d-links werent inaccessible in half the post game / had no means of refill without prizes. this game is so close to a cohesive gameplay loop not based on abusing reload boost or damage syphon with renewal block.
not to imply its constituent parts arent fun, its just all the system synergies are based on tactically nearly dying. Even the worst iteration of system synergies in the series, cure converter, only deprives a recovery option but still doesnt ask for your health itself. the one bbs system that encourages and rewards success in gameplay without necessarily halting gameplay has ghost drive, sky climber, frozen fortune, and rythym mixer as horrible built in traps. I mean, i guess shotlock targetting isnt necessarily stopping combat, and formchange animations now have (only limited) utility, so its not that clear cut, but Better Battle System has brought this to mind again for me.
After playing BBS vanilla on the terranort fight on critical mode because the game was really fun on crit until i hit terranort wtf i dont ever want to play this game on anything but crit and also am fine with dropping it once i reach terranort because the boss either spams random bullshit and then uses the go fuck yourself ars solum and then start doing air slides everywhere and randomly cure and do anything in between including an ars solum and a go fuck yourself ars solum with ultima cannon and geo impact because why not. Now i can see the some glaring issues on how bosses work in this game ngl.
