A good technique for when you are doing close whispering: Drink lots of water. The lip smacking sound you hear in your recording when you are close to the microphone is often a sign of your mouth not having enough moisture. some people can enjoy those sounds (I do) but others are quite offput by it and it can limit the people that enjoy your content. So before you stream next time, water up, and keep it nearby between takes if you start to hear it (and don't want it messing with your audio, some people dehydrate a little on purpose for that expressed reason).
