I tried a couple of 6 or 7 spots before I finally got on them at -888.71 , -69.45.
I got a lot of bowfin and largemouth on the popper. Used a 6/7 oz 4/0 white buzzbait with 4in strawberry nymphets and did much better.
Hopefully this helps someone else. Still need my unique but at least the Trail is frickin done lol

Hey Bo I heard u say you can't get three dots on popping. It took me forever to figure it out but I figured it out man. You have to set your reel on one or 2 speed depends on recovery of the reel. Ok so just as u start to reel you pop the rod then stop reeling wait a few seconds then reel and pop and stop reeling again then just rinse and repeat takes some getting used to. Just remember rps reel pop stop

I’ve had times where I was able to do that- but switch a lure or rod and it’s all lost lol 😂 it must be a real finicky thing

I got a nice vid on my channel where I discussed using poppers. There are three ways actually.
Continuous
Reel pop reel pop
Then reel pop pause
I prefer the latter most times you'll get the strike on that pause.
Gives that far off fish time to catch up. Lol

​@@BoAngles Bo actually that is true... however you should note... There are 3 different ways to present your poppers. Probably the best thing about the popper is you can switch between the 3 without loosing appeal.
