Hi, i too i was a student (in some sense i still am) of SRF/YSS, and i understand and appriciate your journy from dualism to non dualism, cause i had the same thing happening, and at the end It gave me a lot, i think that Masters give the right teaching to the right people based on their needs and their level of evolution and understanding, so since Yoganandaji had the mission to spread Yoga in the west, in the west... In the west... Where of course people are a Little more immature and childish spiritually speaking and there Is a strong maya system always taking people away from the "right Path" that leads beyond right and wrong and any path, It was needed to present Yoga in that way, the good effect of that Is that It makes you start the spiritual journy with great enthusiasm, then you lose It but at least you begun and then you keep on going on It even thou in a more mature way and you find again your enthusiasm more long-term and well rooted this time.
And also even thou the Bakhti aspect and the Raja aspect of Yogananda's teachings are evident and well enphasized i also like to bring the attention to the Non dual aspect or the jnana aspect of Yogananda's teachings.
    He gave also jnana teachings.
He thought for example "so ham" i am Him.
He said "You are that", he sang Shankara's Jnana song "i am not the body i am not the mind i am Him",
He agreed with Shankara that He use to study.
He called Ramana Maharshi a Sage, to show the oness between jnana yoga and bakhti yoga, and also Ramana Maharshi had a Bakhti side.
And also i agreed with Ramakrisna and Ananda mayi ma that both explaned the unity between all the Yoga margas.
And as you pointed out in this video He said: "you don't have to strive to find God but only to remove the vails" and also in the prayer of the night He said, "where are you, ohh you are Me!!!" , and also i loved the story of the man finding God within Himself and putting flowers in His own Head.
So He knew and i thought also
    Jnana Yoga.
So we have also to understand that Guruji was aware of the Jnana Yoga Truths and that He thought them.
And also He thought Bakhti methods and Raja methods to help to grasp the ultimate Truth of Jnana.
So He thought "Integral yoga" the mix of all the Yoga margas into one, like Swami Sivananda, Ananda mayi ma, Swami Ramakrisna, and in reality even Ramana Maharshi, because He thought Jnana Yoga but even some Raja and bakhti methods to help people to reach the Jnana realization. Even shankara thought detachment, meditation and pranayama to help you grasp the Jnana Truth.
    So they are all togheder.
I agree with you and Is very important not to misunderstand Guruji s teachings as only bakhti and Raja, otherwise we get stuck, He thought Jnana Yoga also.
Even Patanjali used a mix of method (Raja) and Jnana, He said,
Yoga Is the dissolution of the vorx of egoic thought, when this happens One rests in ONE'S OWN TRUE NATURE, and Yogananda uses Patanjali's teachings, so Yogananda Just created a practical system to help you to purify your mind to find your true Self be one with God beyond the personal God.
Like the great Masters of Tibet says:
Union between method(meditation, study, ecc) and wisdom(jnana).

So inspiring, coherent and accessible. As a vedantic hindu, I can identify with much of your carefully worded insights but - encouragingly - much progress came simply from embodying the key tenet of brahman.
Deep gratitude for your effort in sharing for the greater good.

I liked your video - I am a Kriyaban since 1982 - I can only tell you that if you stick to it truely it is the wildest 'ride' one could make in a seclude way. But things can be different for each one. Though if you go to the matrix one might have to leave everything behind. You are still in the romance. Hope you stay in the light always.

Lovely description. Even the great non dual ie Advatic master ,Bhagwan Ramana Maharishi wrote divine beautifull poetry that sounds dualistic. As did Nisargadatta Maharaj who performed puja every evening to he various deities in Hinduism .those attracted to the form or formless path, can reach the goal through prayer, devotion, surrender and knowledge .how ever one is inclined

0.58; Yogananda was actually the third, if you count Swami Ram Tirtha as the first... He's not as well known as Vivekananda or Yogananda, but I believe he pre-dated both of them in the US!

Bhakti yoga - devotional yoga explains that dualism is important because love can exist between two beings (lover and beloved) and to understand love, merging with beloved is not favourable, because how can you taste the honey if you are the honey yourself? There has to be the honey and the experiencer of honey. God is not outside yourself it’s a very same thing you came from and yet you are an individual soul at the same time, but to understand God and your eternal relationship with God you have to be able to relate to God from an individual perspective. And through relating the Love can exist and through Love the experience of honey can flow, where you can understand God’s and your own essence. Ideally that’s the state of devotion, not the merging of two beings, that’s not the goal. It is a very much an internal intimate experience known as a yoga of the heart.
Don’t want to make no offences on your believes (or anyone else’s) just wanted to make an important point that I have learnt from my Guruji 🙏

The only reason you are not experiencing what you are suppose to while doing Kriya yoga is because you do not know GOd (It is commonly seen in westen people trying to delve in the spiritual world ) .Its not an easy path my friend . Developing Spiritual consciousness is difficult and it comes when the time is right . Keep searching for god you will find him/Her in this lifetime if your effort is right .
