I bet you miss the natural heating of the Florida sun for these large surface removals. Quick tip: Tie your electrical cords like the first part of a shoelace knot before plugging them together and they won't pull apart accidently.
Been watching a lot of wrapping videos on RUclips. Never seen a removal. Didn't know it was this hard. Can you do a video on removing wrap from the front fender, mirror and door handle please.
Hey Christian, when removing film from large surfaces, the film can be cut into strips of 4-5 inches. In this case, the film is removed without too much effort! Try it;) A note for beginners who read this: It is very important to cut the film without cutting through it!
I recently found out if its like 30 degree F or less you hit that viynl with a heat gun it pulls away and its like pulling a fabric sheet off a panel easy as pie
I have on my roof 3m 2080 gloss black about 2 and a half years now and it fade because of the sun and i don't have a garage,i hope mine come out good and don't crack in parts.
when you apply the vinyl wrap, to cut the vinyl when you apply it, do you use sharp knife to cut it into shape cut off all the edges? wouldnt that cut into the metal and the paint?
Hey Christian, you think you can make a video on how to just do a roof wrap. A lot of do it yourselfers would benefit from one of those videos i think. awesome videos though dude, youre the man
Thats because it is over 2 years old, meaning following the 3rd year the vinyl is prone to cracking and drying out, making it harder to remove and can even damage the paint its meant to protect. Its best to remove the vinyl before the 3rd year, and just put on brand new vinyls.
Hey christian, could you do a video on prepping this car for its next wrap? Im about to peel my car and wrap it again and I really dont want to leave any adhesive behind as it will show through the next color.
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream all of the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last few weeks xD
Hi Christian, u mentioned ceramic coating the wrap. Does that process harden the wrap? If so, does it make removing the wrap difficult? Love ur videos btw ...keep them coming...
It shouldn't actually make the wrap more difficult to remove. I'll be removing mine in a couple of weeks so we'll find out soon. Mines been installed for about 4 months and with the coating on it
The problem is how do you make a product that is durable stays where you want it and then is easy to remove, you can't it's not possible at this point in time hopefully the future will be and this vinyl doesn't last very long.
I just removed the factory stripes on my mustang. They were on the car for like 10 years. How do I remove the residue? Soap and water? Clay bar? Or alcohol?
Question... Does the adhesive from the vinyl wrap damage the car's clear coat?? Or after removing the car I assume I would need to clay bar the whole car when washing back....
I'd say it's a case by case thing, also depends on the strength of the glue used in the vinyl. The vinyl i used did remove some of my clear coat when being pealed. Granted my car is also 20 years old and it was the original clear coat paint Edited: to fix typo
No it will not. It’s just adhesive. I’ve removed wrap off of a van from over 8+ years of it being on and all you need is a bottle of heavy duty adhesive remover to remove all the glue
I removed my 3 year old roof wrap in the 90 degree hawaii sun....super easy. Came off in 1 piece. Key is wait until mid day. No heat gun needed. Of course this depends on the quality of the wrap also. Not chinese cheap ass wrap.
condition like this call dirty..? im not sure what my car condition will be call... Some suggestion. take off your ring before touch your customer's cars.. obviously people wrap their car because it's expensive (to them). so by removing your ring, you show your respect to their car (plus remove their worries you scratch them. lol)

Worked like a charm! The trick is to be generous with the heat gun, of course, while trying not to burn yourself.
best thing to watch while stoned
GOD THOSE WHEELS SHOULD BE BANNED IN 50 STATES
but why though?! looks ok to me

Miss Florida everyday. And thank you for the tip

Yes I know that but I didn't want to display that when there are so many beginners watching.
OK :) That's why I made a note LOL

Thank you for the info, wrapping is definitely expensive than painting.
The car looks really great for going two years wtihout a wash. Is overheating the paint itself and possibly removing it with the wrap a concern?
I would like to see a removal and re-wrap of a window moulding. eg. the pillar between windows.

Wow, that's some workout, Christian. You don't need to go to the fitness center after unwrapping this car.LOL

This question has probably already been asked but what do you recommend for harder to remove adhesive? Most folks say goo gone. What do you prefer?
To much goo gone will fuck up your paint it takes it off really easy😢 I learned the hard way

GiveMeMyFlops especially one with a sunroof
I've done both, if you scroll back through videos you'll find them
Sounds good dude, thanks!
We like to heat the panels with our infrared heat lamp. Allows us to use both hands
Not sure if I missed it, but what colour is/was that? Great video!!!
That looks sick, I would have just taken the wrap off the hood only left the black hood
Would a hot car in the sun help or hurt when trying to take off?
The Wrap doesn't look bad/worn out/faded, Why is the owner removing it? :?

Lol maybe just get one of those garage work ceiling heaters pointed right at the wrap

@Alexzander Ellis yup, have been using instaflixxer for months myself :D
I just filmed myself removing one with cracks that was on for 4 years...

I'm guessing this removal gets harder if the wrap is on longer? Buying a police car with the doors and roof wrapped. About 7 years.
How do you remove adhesive residue from the car safety??
My Avery wrap lasted 3 years 6 months garage kept in Arizona with occasional outdoor parking. Disappointed tbh!
That's pretty good considering they don't offer any warranty in Arizona
What was the name of that heat gun company
When you wrap over inlays, do you use knifeless tape or do you freehand the cuts?
How much would it cost for a full car wrap removal? Ball park for a Nissan 370Z
I know it's out of topic but please please please pleeeeeeeaaaassssseeeee tell me the song name that you used in the beggining :)
Hey man im a fan , question how much a job like that would cost for a toyota camry Se 2018 like gray metallic wrap the whole car
MICROSOFT HQ 😂😂💵💵💸💸
looool why u drive shitbox like that? its your parents ride?
Why do people wrap their cars is this an alternative to paint?

@@NyBasim91 yeah.... I was wondering about that, I'll just have it painted instead.

Looks like the hood is taking a beating and bending a lot 😢

I have a Corolla, with some part wraps on her (i brought, it as so). Is there anyway of knowing,if its indeed a Quality 3M wrap etc?.
What is the brand of the wrap that has been used for his BMW? please let me know
Put all videos you want this thing is impossible to do just lost 300 $ trying it, doing this at a shop is too expensive
It should be against the law to put that on a car!
didnt wash their car? Not even once? What a lunatic
condition like this call dirty..? im not sure what my car condition will be call...

It is a very wrong way, you are destroying the bonnet joints.

I know this is a two year old comment but just use goo gone. Clay bar will be ruined after the first few swipes
