The Easiest Leather Bag To Make
In this Leather Crafting Project I decided to freestyle my way through makingg a leather bag that used no real traditional leather tools - no stitching, no rivets, nothing. You can drill out the holes with a drill, you can fold leather however you'd like or make your own wet mold, and chicago screws are simply installed with a flathead!
I'm really excited about what this means for the future of my own design, and I can't wait to see what you do with this style of design as well. Happy leather crafting!
8:46 i love the little happy face the hanging loop makes :D
Merry Christmas 🎉
Thanks for all the videos!!!
Love it Eric ❤
Super classy! I recently tried to make something similar.... well my 4 year loves it so not a complete waste. Will have to get a wet mold and try this.
There is a French company called Pom Poms that makes the cutest bag straps that will just clip onto that lovely bag. I’m so thankful that I found your channel. I am binge-watching your videos and dreaming of making wonderful leather things!
Very Nice good idea! I enjoy your videos, watching leather projects being made is relaxing! buckleGuy seems to have alot going now days.
Really would love for Buckleguy to open up in the UK, or have a distribution partner in the UK - they have so much great looking stuff!!
They just added one! Andrea at A Leather Store now carries a selection of Buckleguy stuff - not all of it, but the more folks support EU distro the more she'll carry :)
@@Corter 😍
Another cool idea to use with the octagon wet mold I got from buckleguy!
Simple and elegant. Thank you.
Very nice! Love the Chicago Screw assembly!
Nice job Eric, turned out very neat!
I've always been interested in how to add lining to different gausset types, and I think it would be quite an educational video if you make one, because I can't seem to find detailed information on this topic
Awesome Workmanship Brother!! Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
more like this please
Awesome thank you
Thanks mate. Merry Christmas :D
The best locktite for small screws i used it the blue loctite that comes in a stick like lipstick. The blue is removable but if you use red loctite you will need to use a lot of heat to break it loose.
Bruh, I use glue stick, like Elmer's
I have some of that I use too , hear in Tennessee most of what’s on the shelf is out of date, I use white Elmer’s glue on them.
@@mikecleek3964 Do you get any corrosion on the screw from the elmers glue? I find that it can cause spotting or a bit of rust on my chisels if i get elmers on them.
That is cool
Great video! I am a bag maker but not with leather YET! lol. My brother is a muzzle loader user and has asked me to make him a possibles bag. This would be a great one. TFS! I think I will Subscribe.
When punching holes in wet molded items, it'd be best to remove the punch pointing out of the front of the rotary punch. That way the item isn't marred up by the compression from the next punch.
oh 100%, that's a great idea. I was in "lets get this done and see if it works" mode admittedly, wasn't using that part of my brain right haha
@@Corter I've encountered the same thing, just passing along helpful tips when I encounter them.
Mint👍👏🏻👍
I really like the time u take to explain every step, please can I order tools from buckleguy ,do they ship to Nigeria
Is there a kit for that? I love it!
Very very good 👏👏👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wahnsinn ! 👍🏽
Thank you for the project. It includes two things I want to try this year: wet molds and the small Chicago screws. Your videos always give me neat ideas.
Thanks for inspiring me to pickup my leatherwork hobby again after a long break. Merry Christmas!
Could you add a welt between the center seam to add thickness so the Chicago screws would be tight?
Can you share the specific Loxx clasp you used
Thank you. Very nice idea. Question: I'm assuming its the 5 x 9 pill wet mold?
I see what you are doing, very nice! What sandpaper did you use? I grew up in my parents cabinet business, so did you use the same grit of paper that you would use in finishing something in wood?
In other videos I'm sure he's used 220 grit. You'll see other makers go crazy high to get a mirror finish but ultimately just go for the look you like! 😁
were do you get your knife blades
why not use a sew machine with the rivets. nylon or poly thread
What kind of lock/clasp is that?
18:48 Loxx
about 4 min in the way your using your mat to measure and cut ,couldnt y put leather back in mold and use the jig to mark at least the top
На чём формировали?
A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.
OLD Leather Smith here, I use a tool by heritage that installs Chicago screws tite so you don't have 2, use lock tite. There's 2 out there the one I use locks down so you can use 2 hands on the project. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
leather smith is not a thing. find a new personality
