- The final chapter in the Rowe family headstones we have been cleaning, who had a stillborn child in 1885, a 6-month old pass away in 1886, and an almost 1 year old die in 1899. Macclenny, FL, USA has had residents as far back as the 1820's, and many headstones from the late 1800's are present in Woodlawn Cemetery. I called the director of the cemetery and asked permission to clean some headstones. I was granted permission and immediately gravitated towards this section which had the Rowes buried here. It was a pretty tragic family story that we started exploring last week and still have another video to come on them next week.

Makes you really appreciate to be alive in a time where modern medicine and the education of doctors is so advance.
What a wonderful kind thing to do. Thank you. Poor Emiline was only 38 when she died after loosing 2 children. Ben lived to 78, Emma Jean 73.
Your a GOOD MAN for doing that. When I go and visit my mom and dad and in-laws, I do the same thing. But they are family.
Such a lovely thing to do - they look amazing.
Oh how i wish you could do my sons garden. Sadly im disabled and cant tend to it anymore.
It breaks my heart.
Well done you are so kind xx
Where are you located?
@@alcopower5710 that is a very suspicious thing to ask. Dont you think that i a little weird?
Thak you Brad for doing such a nice deed.
you add another application of 'Magic Juice' at the end, that really helps. 'Honor your DNA', I learned about this there.
I have seen the channel honor your DNA and I don't recall him saying something about magic juice.
@@ashleymitts Wet and Forget ?
I’ve always wanted to do something like this but I’ve been afraid of damaging the old gravestones. My family’s cemetery dates back to the 1600s and a lot of the old stones are barely readable. I’ll have to check into this chemical. I really appreciate this video. ❤️
only use d/2 cleaner for headstones, everything else is damaging
Also a product called Wet and Forget
Both of these chemicals are approved by the National Cemetery Association for this use. Personally I would use D-2 on really old stones as you will leave only a trace of chemicals when you finish.
Use D2. This is the only cleaner allowed at Arlington. Any cleaner that has bleach in it can damage the stones long term.
Very nice, Brad. I really enjoy these tombstone cleaning videos. You're a good man for doing these.
Thank you for doing this, we pay someone to do this very same thing, nice to see other's doing it, great job, have a blessed day
What a great act of some free kindness. Much respect my friend. I am sure this video has brought smiles to many faces.
God Bless you sir for volunteering your time, in this day and age we need more good folks like yourself.
What a great job done.
Wow brother. I feel like sometimes we should do things like this because it’s good for the soul. Good job.
Wow! What a difference it makes!
Lovely!
The really large stones, you can add 'Wet and Forget' may have to more than once but I have seen it work without scrubbing.
Hmm. It does mean that some people would really love to have gravestones cleaned, which means an opportunity for a helpful business. I think it is D2 that is supposed to not deteriorate granite headstones... Love the work you are doing.
I like these videos, Cuts. Nicely done.
People use D2 to clean gravestones. I love watching it.
❤❤❤. Thank you from Grma Smith in KS🇺🇸
yeah, that was quite common pre 1900 and up to about 1920. People also didnt live as long. Even someone 40-50 years old would be considered old.
Suspicious
You should make this a part time job gig my friend
Nice of you to do. Drill brush scrubbers would make quick work of it. Super cheap on Amazon. I use mine all the time. Keep up the good work!
The only approved materials is D2 solution and NON metallic brushes/tools, and no power tools and no pressure washers. Just a light touch by hand.
@@ohger1 Interesting.
“Magic juice” = D2 organic cleaner?
I can't get the link to load. I hope its D2
Yep
Hey look, I guessed right!
What’s up!!
Sup!
Are you using D2?
Wouldn't pressure washing it be more effective and a lot quicker?
Quicker? Hands down! But it would very likely damage these >100 year old pieces of marble. If not worsening existing cracks to the point of breaking, at the very least wearing off already faded writing. You want as little abrasion as possible, and believe it or not scrubbing with a hand brush is much easier on the white marble than a pressure washer.

Really “Magic Juice “? Lol funny
:P
thanks for help remembering those from the past, but pitch your electric shears, and buy a good set of manual old school clippers. THAT part was embarassing to watch.
I think the electric shears work fine for me.
anybody ever tell you that you look like the boyfriend of gabby petito? I seen his pic earlier and said that looks just like brad lol
Nothing wrong with getting paid. People get paid to handle the dead all the time
I hadn't thought of it that way!
How can she Born at december 21 and die at december 10🤔
Pay attention to the year.
