Constitutional Law Overview: How to Issue Spot a Constitutional Law Essay
Learn more: studicata.com
To clarify, the 11th Amendment is a jurisdictional bar that prohibits both: (1) the citizens of one state or foreign country from suing another state in FEDERAL court for money damages or equitable relief; AND (2) suits in FEDERAL court against state officials for violations of state law. Additionally, the Supreme Court has expanded the reach of the 11th Amendment to also prohibit citizens from suing their OWN state in federal court. We will cover the main exceptions to the application of the 11th Amendment in our next video. Stay tuned!
Will u post other videos about con law?
Wondering the same. Exam in a month
Dear god please tell me you have outlines. I'm panicking.
Exactly....
I thought a citizen of state can proceed against their own state in FC for civil rights violations, yes?
I feel like I owe this man some of my law school tuition because he often taught me more than my professors did lol
Very helpful. I’m looking forward to the coming videos because you’ve been the only person to make these subjects clear for me.
Thank you, I'm happy to help!
Amazing. Why did I just sit through an entire semester of Con Law when they could have just shown us this 22-minute video?
Simply love this guy! Thank you for making Constitutional Law so clear and easy to understand.
This is the best Con Law breakdown I’ve ever come across. You took something so complex and made it so simple. Thank you.
No problem, happy to help!
This was so helpful, because you are right, issue spotting was I was grappling with and your video has now helped me to figure this issue spotting better. Thank you and God bless you for your free videos!!!
These videos are great. Waiting for the other videos for Constitutional Law!
Your lectures are terrific. The main skills for studying and testing in law school are issue spotting and an organized pre-thought-out process for responding to the question. Your lectures do that thoroughly and efficiently. One should have a plan how to respond to all the likely essays before the exam. For example, if one spots a negligence issue in a question, one should already have a plan about how to write an appropriate negligence essay. Then all one need to do is insert and analyze the facts according to that plan. I am a paying Studicata customer. I would really appreciate more Civil Procedure videos. Outlines are good but are also available in many places and don't have the teaching success of a well done lecture.
Excellent explanation on such a difficult topic. Thank you for your energy and your clear analysis and application.
This is the best breakdown on how to approach Con Law fact patterns I've come across

Why'd I spend 3 yrs in law school when I could've just watched Studicata videos instead x)
Great video
Thanks!
Thank you for making these video. Took the bar about 4 times and I feel like giving up but when I look at my student loans I bounce right back to figuring out where I went wrong. God help me.
Can’t believe con law is actually in English. I always felt like my con law prof was speaking Klingon
honestly wishing my law school would fire my con law professor and hire you but that tenure-ship really screwed over a couple generations of law students here haha thank you for this helpful vid tho :D
No problem, happy to help! 😂
I looked up state law in Blacks law dictionary I believe it was 4th edition it said see statute, or statutory law. I assumed that ment that there's no such thing as a state law, the state's always enforcing statutes. As s result of administrating statutes they act in their personal capacity, not their public capacity, how then is anyone in jail/ prison, have arrest warrants, search warrant, court order, or. Judgments, etc? That would be like if I issued an order or judgment against my friend when that gets out I will have a problem, big time. Because I acting in a private capacity have no authority to do so. I would be slapped with a felony charge. Why aren't these clerks masquerading as a judge ever get charged with anything?
can you post a video about the different levels of scrutiny for your LEAP course
PLEASE
Can union and employer take our constitutional right?
god bless u
This guy's is a good presenter-if I were on trial-i would want someone like him fighting for me.
Can you do Con law Videos Like Evidence. Those are the Bomb. I would even pay a little more for those...I need an A++
Yes, we'll start posting Constitutional Law videos on RUclips soon! If you would like immediate access, you can head over to www.studicata.com/leap for more information.
Question, Why would the right to bear arms not be a fundamental right?
The mic clipping is rough on this one.
Perhaps teach de facto legalese scheme using Color of Lawvs de jure...
I’m in dire need of an analysis of the first amendment 😭😭😭😭
Looks like hes covering Con Law I.
What about local-small-time family courts that act in secrecy and deny the poorer victim (usually female) professional council - the victim is then forced to be their OWN council. Insanely cruel and unusual.
So my question is, if you don’t know this information you’re basically screwed?
What would give states the rights to have recreational marijuana, if Federal law says it's illegal and a controlled substance?
Great question! The direct conflict between state and federal marijuana law is currently an unresolved issue. We have to wait to hear from Congress and the Supreme Court to see how it will play out. Procedurally, the Supremacy Clause does not allow the federal government to review or veto state laws BEFORE they take effect. The state laws can only be challenged and preempted under the Supremacy Clause AFTER they take effect. This is how we can end up in the current limbo we're in with direct conflicts between state and federal marijuana law.
@@studicata thanks for taking the time to reply to my question. Makes it easier to understand.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A FED PM HANDS OVER HIS AUTHORITY TO THE STATES?
That auto-zoom gave me a headache. Why is this video not available for paying customers?
It is available - search "issue spot constitutional law" and you should be all set! 👍
@@studicata Great, I found it, thank you.
