Hey Alex, my handle used to be jrmichel (it's ok if you don't remember, lol) and I've followed your progress and chatted back and forth with you in comment sections for years. To give you an idea of how inspiring you are, although I come from software development, in my spare time, I've learned CAD, built my own CNC, created custom waterblocks and will be launching my e-store in the next two weeks. If it turns out to be successful, it will be in large part because of you. I'm eternally grateful to you either way! Much love, my friend.
I don't think people actually understand how crazy this casemod is already. This is absolutely bonkers in terms of measuring and creating parts. If I may add 1 tiny thing. The bottom of the chassis kind of looks out of place now. So much awesomeness and custom aluminium and then there you see the white chassis grill on the bottom. Imagine that being covered with a thin aluminium grill instead. Love your work as always Alex ❤
@@timwarning9326 Yeah that was bugging me too, I’m just going to replace that panel entirely, it doesn’t need the vent as I won’t be using the windows anymore.
Nice see you working on mods again. This work was great, taking advantage of the CTE concept and a good part of the original case, literally giving meaning to the art of "casemod". Congratulations
Amazing Job, like always your work has always been so clean cut and to my eyes perfect. I look forward to the day I can get my hands on a cnc machine so that I can bring to life my cuts as i design them! Look forward to more of your builds and welcome back, nice to see an OG on the youtube platform again!
Love to see your work. am so happy you are doing vids on youtube again. I think the auto focus issue you were having, was because of both you the case and you back walls being very close in color, so the cam could not figure out what to focus on.
I remember when I bought that Axminister radial drill from you many moons ago. Your work and progression is nothing less than excellent. I'm so incredibly curious to see how your journey continues.
I see your Weird Coffee Person t-shirt - do you think you might do a coffee related project in the future? A custom manual lever espresso machine with your skills and flare would be a super interesting project to see!
@@pirugnappo Indeed I have! At the time this was filmed though I hadn’t quite got the method right though so didn’t use them. Getting the join right on transparent ones is much less forgiving.
I’d be curious, how many hours usually goes into one of these projects? Like you obviously are coming in with a lot of experience, but like how much time do you have to invest into cad and design and prototyping to finalize mod (approximately)? Awesome build, looks sick with the LEDs! 🙂 Did you think about bead blasting for the aluminium finish?
@@alkemicar I reckon some parts are going to be bead blasted while others will be just anodised. I’m still mulling over the colours and whatnot.
