You know what would be the perfect paradigm for this topic? Marriage. So many marry based upon the physical (Hedonic) instead of the friendship (Eudaimonic) which is the more substantial. Because as are bodies grow old if all we were seeking was the physical pleasure that comes from physical beauty then it won’t last. However, if we have a deep meaningful friendship based upon respect, loyalty, trust and forgiveness. Will last far long than those based upon passion only. That being said, I would say maintaining balance between the two is best. I bet you just love philosophy 😏
