- Emergency Services responding from and around Kong Wan Fire Station on Hong Kong Island. The 55 metre Turntable Ladder and the Major Rescue Unit can be seen responding to separate calls as well as an Ambulance unit and Police cars. Kong Wan is a centrally located Fire Station of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department (HKFSD) and houses one Hydraulic Platform, a Major Rescue Unit, a Turntable Ladder, a Rescue Tender, a Hose Layer Unit and an Ambulance.

Wow, both the turntable ladder AND major rescue... not bad Lukas! Tim told me about all the... well, not-so-great moments of this trip, but I hope this won't discourage you from visiting Asia again in the future (maybe Taiwan? 😉)

Kong Wan should have up to three ambulances iirc, but as I'm sure you now know, they're always out on calls.

Kann es sein, dass die Sirenen verhältnismäßig leise sind? Gerade beim RTW
Ja, die können die Lautstärke manuell regeln, und fahren oft mit leiser Sirene wenn’s nicht gerade richtig dringend ist. Das macht man in Hong Kong so, um die Lärmbelästigung in der dicht bebauten Stadt einzudämmen.
