Thanks for the order Bev! I think you'll love making this kit, it's a great introduction to using the Wrapit loom, and once you've made one you'll be able to apply the same technique to all sorts of different designs.
Good people like you deserve to get at least a positive opinion, hard work needs to be supported no matter how simple it is, I am a mom and have the hobby to make a handmade jewelry, will be sharing some of my work and hopefully I get your evaluation. We thought it looked a bit like a kid's toy too when we first saw it, but I'm glad we gave it a chance because we've gotten so much use out of it over the years and our customers these kits. It's a great loom.
Sorry to hear these looms are hard to find in Brazil. If you'd like we're happy to ship to Brazil. We sell the looms, and we even sell those large seed beads separately if you'd like to make your own design. The trying station isn't well-suited for this because it can’t secure the cords the same way at the top button. You might be able to find a workaround but I don’t recommend it. The sliding mechanism in the Wrapit loom is crucial to the tension of the leather.
Yes with the right sort of magnetic clasp I think that could work well. You'd want one with a loop large enough that you can string it on leather cord, and a larger, more decorative style of magnetic clasp would probably work best with the sale of the bracelet and balance out the knotted ends of the cord.
Thank you for the video! How are you keeping your knots staying together when tying the leather cord? I’m having issues with my knots not staying. Could this possibly be my cord is too waxy or cheap?
That sounds like it could be a quality issue. Normally what I'd recommend is oiling the leather a bit, dried out leather isn't as supple and doesn't knot well. But if the surface of the leather is very waxy it may not absorb the oil well. A good quality leather cord should hold a knot without a lot of work. Here's the leather we used in the video, we carry it in a nice selection of colors: beadaholique.com/search?type=article%2Cpage%2Cproduct&q=Leather%20Cord&_=pf&pf_t_size=0-Size%3A1.5mm&pf_t_product_type=0-Product-Type%3ABeading%20Cord%20%26%20Ribbon
Yes there are some other materials will work. What you want is a cord around 1.5mm to 2mm in diameter which has a bit of stiffness to it to help the bracelet hold its shape. Our favorite alternative to leather is a waxed cotton cord like this one: beadaholique.com/products/waxed-cotton-cord-1-5mm-round-black-5-meters-16-5-feet

Yes! You would just adjust the length from knot to knot to fit your wrist. For a 5.5” wrist you are probably looking at 5 inches of beading and then leaving .5 inches for the clasp.
I have tried so hard to find a video tutorial like this that’s great thank you so much for sharing.
The "Wrapit Loom"is a really good system! I love it!👍🏻

Could you use the Beadolon tying station as well

Will other materials work with the loom, instead of leather?

Just ordered my kit. What size are these beads?
Thanks for your order Darlene! The beads are 2/0 Czech glass seed beads
I recently purchased a Beadalon Tying Station and was wondering if that would work?

Hi, does the wrapit loom work for someone who's wrists are 5.5 inches? This seems like a great tool. Thanks.
