Magic! You have a nice crisp style with a wonderful vision of the overall look of the quilt. I was particularly impressed with the design in the pinwheel variation blocks, not what I was expecting.
WELL for this VIEWER I would have given you a BEST IN SHOW. ABSOLUTELY the cutest quilt, BUT it was the QUILTING that made it an AWARD WINNING master craft hand guided ARTISTRY. Absolutely LOVE 💕 LOVE 💗 LOVE THIS QUILT.
Beautifully done. Have you thought about compiling your designs for feathers into a new book? I’d be the first to buy it. One question, how many thread changes did you use and what is your “go to” color? Thank you for sharing your talent.
@@susandoak401 it was hard to see the thread colors used, and you can tell there are different colors used. I read the blog but no mention either. I, too, would like to know the answer to your question about this beautiful work of art.
Congrats for winning ! It is an amazing quilting job . You should be so proud. Always amazed at how easy you make designing quilts looks. Love the individual feathers for each bird. So brilliant!!
Well rule of thumb to master a craft is 10,000 hours. I would say I am approaching that. I've been longarming full time everyday for the past 5 years. It took me 2 years to take in my first client quilt (raising kids, and working outside of the house)
I love your skills, and I would like to make a ast it makes me dizzy. suggestion. Could you change the speed play out some. The way it is now I can’t enjoy your quilting because it’s so f thanks so much for sharing. 2:52
I started on my domestic machine and thought my skills would transfer over to the longarm, they did not. But once I started using my machine everyday (even for only half and hour) and working on whole quilts not practice pieces my skills grew exponentially. It's about putting the time in and building muscle memory. I did an entire quilt in pebbles... by the time I got to the bottom I was good at them.
My grandmother taught me a little about quilting, but I haven't done any in years. I just wanted to tell you that this quilt is beautiful and one of the more appealing ones that I've seen. 🍃🪺🐦🍃
Thank you so much. Quilting was something I learned when my kids were small and it really helped ground me. Thank you so much for watching and I hope you give quilting another shot, it really has been evolving these past 10/15 years.
Absolutely AMAZING!
Thank you
I was so excited to see how the double ribbon candy is done.Loved seeing the variety of feathers on the birds. Thank you!
Double ribbon candy is an all time favourite of mine.

Beautiful work ... but my brain may be permanently broken by the double ribbon candy.
I know, that double ribbon candy is awesome!
Do you plan out your quilting before loading or are you experienced enough to just kind of wing it?
I'm quite experienced and I plan every step before I load.
Wow how long did it take you to learn?

Noted!
Found it: ruclips.net/video/KUymMkTpScw/видео.html Thanks for asking this question, I wanted to slow it down too and didn't realize it could happen!
Oh! I found keystrokes, ruclips.net/video/mOqGIjNM_es/видео.html So much easier. Shift > to go faster. Shift < to go slower!
Are you changing threads?
Yes I am
How long did it take you to get good at free motion quitling ?
