Scripture Passage: Romans 8:28-31
Salvation, from start to finish, is of the Lord. It is only by the grace of God that we can be sure of our salvation.
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
There are five foundational facts on which our faith rests.
The first fact is God’s foreknowledge of our salvation. God knew we were going to be saved before we did. When God foreknows something, it is not an educational guess; He sees the beginning, middle, and end of everything, all at once.
Second, we can be sure of our predestination to be like Jesus. “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren” (Romans 8:29).
Adrian Rogers says, “God doesn’t predestine some people to go to Hell, and God doesn’t predestine some people to go to Heaven. God predestines every child of God, everyone who is born again, to be like Jesus.” God wants everyone to be saved, but in order for love to be love, it cannot be forced. So God gave us free will; whether we want to be saved or not is up to us.
Third, we are sure that God foreknew we would be saved: “Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called…” (Romans 8:30). Whenever the Gospel is preached, God is calling people to salvation. Through His Word and His Spirit, God can make the spiritually blind see things they’ve never seen before.
Fourth and fifth, we can be sure of our settled justification, and finally, our eternal glorification.
“...whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified” (Romans 8:30).
The basis of our justification is the blood of Jesus Christ; it becomes effective when we trust in Him. As a result, God no longer deals with us as sinners, but as servants. As servants, God already sees us in Heaven, in His heart and mind, settled and glorified. And what has been settled in Heaven cannot be annulled or undone in time.

God be the Glory! This message lifted a boulder of my shoulder! I read a article by a calvinist preacher and it had me in a tail spin and doubting The love and compassion of God. This lesson has taught me that I need to be in the bible more and biblically grounded so Im not easily swayed by flawed doctrine.
Yeah I listened to some preacher talk about you can lose your salvation. I was going crazy for 45 mins. I was saying to myself “now how in the world can I keep myself? How?? It is Christ who holds me in the palm in his hands. And as well as the father. Who can pluck me out?? If you can’t pluck me out of the fathers hand, then how so can you with the son? Also. What happens if I lose my temper one day and hurt someone really bad who ends up wounded, but soon after I do this act I walk into the street blinded my rage and get hit by a car and didn’t repent? The bible says that are sins are forgiven, past, present and future. If I messed up one time, then go to hell because of that fall I took into the flesh, then that means God is a liar. And God CANNOT LIE! This whole you can lose your salvation doctrine is false/heresy! It needs to be addressed! Because people can go insane thinking that oh if I messed up, welp Jesus takes away the free gift and says oh well, NO MY FRIEND I SAY NO UNTO YOU. For we have been saved by grace through FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS. I’ll never forget what Adrian Rodger’s said on the final judgment. When people will come before the Lord and say Ah well Lord I didn’t like that preacher, and God will say “I didnt say believe in the preacher I said to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ” so I will stay in the word, Jesus says the Spirit of God will stay with me! JESUS SAID AND HE DOES. NOT LIE HALLELUJAH!
I'm so glad to see I'm not alone!!! I was convicted and asked the Lord to forgive my sins and come into my heart when I was 8, and realized a huge difference in my life for a while... but then I wandered far away and when I started coming back closer, I started listening to some preachers that made it sound really confusing, and then I listened to calvinists and that just threw me into a corner not knowing what to do... trying to figure out if I really knew what I was doing as a child. But the word of God, Romans 10:13 and 1st John 5:13, plus people like Adrian Rogers and others, and it's helping greatly to deliver me from my confusions. The devil is still hitting me hard, but i have God's promises.
Calvin, believe in election, is the same as been elected. When God calls you, and you answer that call. You're now, one of his elect, you have free will to receive that gift 🎁 or deny it. So, now we can say, without the shadow of a doubt, that you're one of God's elect.
Such a powerful pastor. I enjoy listening to his sermons. He's dearly loved and missed.

It's interesting, there's always someone who says, "Thank you Marc." And there's always someone who says, "Ignore the Spirit, ignore the Word, just give it up." And i have definitely shaken the dust off my feet with some. But I don't obey someone who hates God and hates me. You know who you are and I do.

And the Scripture states Jesus died for those whom would believe. There is no blanket salvation, that because Jesus died all are saved. You must repent, and Believe, to be saved.
You have to get right with God first if you are an abomination to him,repent and change now in his Holy name his father gave him,Yeshua
Romans 10:9-10 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is LORD, and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) AND SO IS JUSTIFIED (declared righteous, acceptable to God), AND WITH THE MOUTH HE CONFESSES (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) AND CONFIRMS (his) SALVATION.
You may have a will, however the Bible is filled with stories, of God forcing them to do his bidding. Jonah was swallowed by a very large Fish because he ran from God, Moses argued with God and God had to set him straight. The point is this, salvation is a supernatural work of God, and you cannot escape God's will, period. Jesus said John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Then why everyone is not saved? Is it because of their free-will? Man is saved by God's grace or man's free will?
What about God hardening the heart of Pharoah? He has hardened many kings during Isarel's wandering that they come and fight with Israel so that they would be destroyed.

Eternal security is for those walking by the Spirit in love and faith. The actual mistakes. It's completely different than living in planned daily sin, totally ignoring the blood, the Word and Spirit refusing to be ever convicted, and rebuking the messengers, and actually partnering with Satan just pretending to be a true believer. Totally different attitude. One is about an actual and ACTIVE heart change towards sin. One volunteers to feel good here and there, fooling some but not the angels or the Lord. *Read the full context of Hebrews 10. Apparently you missed the If you and as you. And just because their name wasn't recorded didn't mean they're in the clear. And notice there's a difference between continuing in sin ignoring God, habitually sinning, ignoring what the Word says happens to those who ignore God.. there's a difference between hamartolos and dikaios. The just absolutely recognize God's right to them, and as a result their whole life is changed. That means they have a reverential fear of God and desire in the inward parts to serve God rather than some man-made philosophy like Spurgeon who says you're on a switchback, just kick it out of gear, nothing matters anymore. Dikaios can and do and are willing to perform God's will as a direct result of the relationship and inworking power of God. These I'm talking about deserve an Oscar for best acting performance but their heart isn't right with God. God disciplines and chastens those who are His. It will affect your attitude. Where there's no hunger and thirst for God's favor there's no relationship to start with. If any of them are actually saved and are in pure rebellion God reserves the right to end their lives. I doubt that happens very often. All of the ones I've ever written about or to were living in complete ignorance of the true gospel leading to a life of righteousness and God's power. There's too many preacher's teaching easy believism and telling people they're born again believers even though the evidence is to the contrary. Nowhere in the NT is there an overarching emphasis to tell people they're born again just because they said they believed. That's created by man. The Bible says in the NT there would be certain fruit of the Spirit in a believer. The NT Bible says there will be a witness to the truth because of faith. I've never been writing about those who occasionally are in sin. We all are. My purpose is to show the right way to those who are ignorant of the full truth and have followed too many many made ideas about what is a life of righteousness.
So are you saying Pastor Adrian Rogers is wrong teaching "whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved!"
