I have heard that all religions have a piece of the whole teaching. The objective is to bring all religions together and then join science and spirituality (also brought together) together to form a bigger picture of who? we are and why we are here. ❤️🙏RW

These groups think that no one outside them will make it into heaven, they were "deceived". Christians in the main groups ALSO think everyone else is "deceived"
    Hmm im sensing a pattern

I see your point but I think this applies to pretty much all groups. Atheists think religious people are deceived. Right wing people think left wing people are deceived and vice versa. Shia Muslims think Sunni Muslims are deceived.

It would be an interesting pattern if Jesus didn't spend so much time battling against religious hypocrisy and warning us of it.
It's easy to dislike Christians, it's impossible to dislike Jesus once you really come to understand and know him.
We all know people are sinners, that's why we have a perfect God.

Use this format for true scientific hypotheses
    p isn't non p, p is p.

Conclusion p is p, a true scientific hypothesis

God does not work by judging. This is a place to learn and help others learn. We judge ourselves and God then sees if we pass the litmus test of feeling remorseful and the depth of it.

This attitude is very common. Protestants such as my own blood relatives will say Catholics, Methodists, and other groups are going to hell for following Satan. 🤷🏽‍♀️ "We're right and everyone else is wrong" is a normal Christian attitude, not an aberrant one.

I mean, to be fair Catholics do not have a finished work, which means by definition they are not christians, now Methodist if he's referring to the liberal Methodist of our current day, and he would be correct, but it is not true that every Methodist is a liberal or is going to hell..
I am a baptist, but I would never say that my Presbyterian brothers are not saved. You know we have disagreements like baptism and eschatology, but we all agree in the fundamental core of the Gospel that Christ died for sin once for all, the just for the unjust.

@@michaeldorsey4580 the Baptist faith and message says that anyone with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and who has been born again will go to heaven.
Therefore according to the Baptist faith and message, Catholics who have genuine faith in Jesus and have experienced epiphany will be saved.
Likewise, even Biblical liberalists in the most left-oriented segments of the Methodist Church if their faith is genuine will be saved.
You may need to re-examine your own denominational catechism if you believe otherwise - you may or may not be a Baptist.

@@Gerry-jr1mp okay, so this is a heresy known as easy belief, I just say this prayer and you're going to heaven.
I don't believe that, I wish you would ask before assuming, because and don't take this the wrong way with the comment you made I can tell you haven't done any research.
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, Ephesians chapter 2, and Romans 4. So when we say Catholics are not safe, we mean not that so when we say Catholics are not saved, it is because the fundamental doctrine of the Catholic Church is completely against the gospel, they believe in the council of Trent Canon 9. "If anybody says that a person is justified by faith alone let them be anathema " they have a work salvation, that is why they constantly have to do the Eucharist and the mass and constantly have to keep sacrificing Christ.
And I don't have any reason to believe liberal Methodist are saved, because what they teach is completely 180° from the bible, and it shows they don't have the Holy Spirit because the holy spirit will be convicting them of their wrong teachings and would STOP THEM encouraging people to follow their sins.

    • @Gerry-jr1mp
      @Gerry-jr1mp 2 месяца назад

@@michaeldorsey4580 you're contradicting yourself between your two most recent comments.
The source of the faith versus good works argument is the Antinomian versus Aquinas strains of biblical interpretation.
Antinomian is neo-platonic, God is good as a contrast to the physical world. Therefore we have the primacy of grace without works and to an even further extent the depravity of man.
Aquinas school is God and man do not exist on the same "plane" so to speak. God's prime greatness is not infringed upon by the goodness of his creation. Therefore God delights in working through and with his creation.
Now this is all heady nonsense for something that in practice doesn't really matter much. 1. Catholic catechism says our works are fulfilled through the sanctifying graces so it's a moot argument anyway. There is obviously nuance between Jesus who says a tree without fruit is dead and Paul who says we are saved without works so that nobody may boast. When two lines in NT seemingly contradict eachother, that means they're both simultaneously true but bring out nuance in eachother. Catholic Church also declared in the Lutheran council that they do not believe in a works based faith, they condemned Pelegianism the ancient works based heresy, etc.
What the bigger picture is that you have to contend with in your faith is the perspicuity problem of the Bible which is "how do I know what I know". In the spirit personal biblical interpretation has led to 50,000 independent churches all claiming the full truth, with no ability to arbiter theological dispute. "Archaeology of knowledge" aka settling disputes with belief of early Christians leads back to the early Catholic Church fathers. There is simply no way to arbiter biblical truth in the Baptist world. According to your thesis, 3/4ths of Christians in history are damned - that idea in and of itself should give any reader pause, "why would God condemn 3/4ths of people who have followed him across the centuries?"
