Hi Chris, I don’t recommend cooking this in the air fryer or oven. The chicken is so thin, it will cook before the coating has a chance to brown. Also you won’t get that lovely golden coating. Also you'd only be able to get one in the air fryer at once with them being so large once flattened out.
I use the same method for oven baked chicken but using thigh fillets that won't dry out so easily. I also mix a couple of table spoons of oil into the panko breadcrumb mix so that they get a nice golden crunch when baked. Obviously it ends up as smaller pieces rather than the classic schnitzel but I find that more practical as not everyone in the family wants such a large portion.
When you spooned that garlic, caper butter sauce over those beautiful golden chicken breasts I knew I had to make this recipe tonight! 😊Off to the store!
We love a schnitzel in our house, occasionally I use pork loin, cut the fat off then flatten it, also I tend to add vegetable bullion powder to the breadcrumbs instead of the flour, taste delicious either way 😋😋😋 my son and I have just tried your crispy sesame chicken recipe, absolutely amazing thank you 👍🏻

I’m similar but I add the paprika to the flour, and cracked pepper to the breadcrumbs mix plus I add some sesame seats.I use 90% panko crumbs and 10% normal breadcrumbs, tastes amazing

Here in Germany we add mustard to the meat first before we coat it in flour, eggwash and bread crumbs. Adds even more flavour.
