    Thanks for this. Way better than trying to read their instructions while looking at a small bag of parts

    Thank you so much for this review. Saw your video 2 weeks ago and immediately purchased the One Up chain guide. I love it. So simple and easily adjusted. Thanks again.

    Oval :FTW: You're doing a proper Enduro race?
    Majority of events in my neck of the woods are called 'Enduro'.
    A C.G makes sense for a proper Enduro race.
    I've never dropped my chain on my 32t A.B Oval ring (touch wood).
    A full on Enduro race would be a great vid to post up ;-)
    Looking forward to it ^^

    I used the clear one instead of a black because its thinner, with the black one installed chained rubbed on the bird and same with no shim, clear one is is just a thinner shim to get the right fit

    How about the jumps? The chain is silent or making some metall splash noise under landing?

    My chain has never fallen off on my full GX Eagle setup.
    Do you think adding a chain guide for extra security is necessary or just a waste of money, for my situation?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the guide mate. It's very useful.
    I got my one too.
    So what is the transparent thing? =)
    anyways, thanks again and enjoy riding. Cheers!

      Hello nice review tanks.
      maybe the transparent thing is :
      3. With crankset and chain installed, use spacer shim block to measure clearance between back plate and chain.

    hi.. for my case.. im using a SRAM XO1 1X11 setup... i did not need to use any shim or spacers... but when i shift to the most biggest gear... the chain tend to glaze on the inner side of the chain guide... hope you are able to help me with this..
    Thank u... 👍😊

    What's the point if you have a narrow wide chainring?

    My bike is ISCG03 BB style, I wanna order one of these chain guides from One Up but cannot find a video or how to install the BB mounted version on their chain guide ANYWHERE online... This is bumming me out lol

    • @michaelfabian2401
      @michaelfabian2401 7 лет назад +2

      Cool. I I'm currently only using 1 1-mm space for my BB and it is threaded so I should be good to go there. Thanks man, your the BEST!

    With the presence of an oval narrow wide, is this still necessary ? I am not criticizing you at all, I'm am also looking to install this onto my narrow wide too...

    • @MonsterAliensnations
      @MonsterAliensnations 8 лет назад

      +LoveMTB Hmm I see, I wouldnt say I regulary drop my chain, but on on the trails, I ride quite harshly, I want to install these to absolutely fool-proof the ability for the chain to drop... I guess its time for me to order a chain guide too :P

    I need a chain guide that fits my crank set which have three sprockets of the following size. Largest sprocket 48, middle sprocket 32 and smallest 22. Is there anyone who can help me with this? Good video BTW

    • @unogazzy84
      @unogazzy84 8 лет назад

      No I have not. Just to be sure... The clutch on a rear derailleur is meant to keep the chain taut right?

    • @unogazzy84
      @unogazzy84 8 лет назад

      Ok very useful information, thanks :) but is there a chain guide that fits my bike or do I have to build my own version which will look like crap?

    • @jeffbrunton3291
      @jeffbrunton3291 8 лет назад

      unogazzy84 - just fit a regular chain guide to stop the chain dropping to the inside. Planet X have the SRAM version that fits onto your FD, no other attachment required. If you have your limits screws dialled in, you should not drop to the outside.
