Well, it isn’t. You have to do too many extra things to get the same results. Time = Money. When you have a deadline, you don’t use apps that waste your time. And you certainly don’t use tools that force you to pay your workers more money (because they have to work longer). Suddenly a “free” app is very costly. So, it’s not a professional tool. It’s amazing nonetheless.

Having to pay zbrush, houdini, maya, and more different artists or having all in 1 tool where you basically have no problem exporting and you wouldn't need so many people? Blender is getting more and more professional with time and right now could be used without problem along other programs which blender isn't ready for, like after effects.

Does that make Maya unprofessional? Modo doesn't have proper sculpting, yet it's favorable under motor and fashion designers. So since it's not zbrush or mudbox, is that suddenly unprofessional now? Blender has been the go to for everything science and medical related. Since the past few years, they managed to be the main 3D package of Ubisoft. To say that Blender isn't an industry standard? Sure. I'll even agree with you. But saying that it's not a professional tool while it's clearly being used successfully in multiple industries? Yeah nice joke.
@marietto2008 there is a video on youtube where someone paints a realistic Santa Claus in MS Paint I agree with you that at the end of the day it comes down to the skill of the artist some tools just make doing things easier.
I used the subtitles translator from RUclips to translate and when I realized, I watched the whole video without paying close attention to the sculpture process, but the artist's words were very deep and made me reflect a lot on this whole process of making art. Sensational! I became a fan! The guy is just fantastic. And despite his work being incredible, that's not what matters, what matters is that he was happy to carry out the entire production process. Perhaps, that's why the result is so pleasing.

This artist is fantastic! Level of detail & accuracy is second to none. Then on top of that the level of rigging is as detailed as the sculpting. I want to learn from this guy.
I'm a production Engineer. Opened one company to build houses. I said to me and partners that I'll need to learn how to make 3D maket. So I choose the blender because it's free. After 3 months, I could make a house. Today, I can make better in 1 week or 2. So good to make something fron scratch by yourself

There are already several high quality tutorials about modeling, sculpting and texturing out there, but I feel that there's only a very few for rigging. Especially on Blender and about facial rigging... Most of things are done in Maya. If you make a course, I would buy it if it had subtitles in English. Thank you 💖
rigging is very complex, i tried my hand on it, the more i explored, the more it learning needed; almost like a masters in science/math, thanks for this great piece, nicely explained and well done.

90년대에 3D MAX 배울때는 블렌더로 주먹 하나 만들어도 메모리 초과해서 프로그램 꺼지고 그랬었는데... 이제는 PC 성능도 좋아지고 블렌더처럼 훌륭한 3D 프로그램이 무료라니.... 그리고 호야초님처럼 뛰어나신분의 기술을 무료로 배울수 있다니... 너무 훌륭하십니다.

Holy shit! I'm a hobbyist Blender user (started last year). While this video demonstrates incomprehensibly stupefying level of skills, let me tell you, as a professional philosopher, that the philosophy of learning and creativity laid out in the first part of the video is arguably the most important lesson you can get from it. If I were an aspiring artist, I'd be tempted to be really depressed by the superiority of the author's craft, but the philosophy he laid out is exactly the reason why you shouldn't be. This is astonishing at every level. Wow.
