When you root your phone, there's multiple things that tend to "Factory Reset" the device. If you have to go through the Dev Options and choose to unlock the bootloader, you have to reset the device in the same process. Unfortunately, that goes for this method as well, because Magisk is opening up the bootloader, and rooting the device at the same time. Of course not literally, it does it in steps, but first it has to unlockboot loader, then download the files from Odin, then flashes the device with the "patched" firmware. And when you flash it, it flashes it back to day 1. Factory Reset anyway you look at it, unless you do the exploit (that no longer exists on ANY slightly relevantly new device) where you can root the phone FROM the phone, using an "auto-root" which usually comes with some form of Malware while its at it.

@@ExplainingAndroid Yes, the device doesn't boot and gets a blue screen with an error "an erros has occurred while updating the device software"
@@ExplainingAndroid The device allows it to turn off but turns itself back on, also opens the first menu before entering download mode, when pressing volume up to enter download mode the same blue screen appears with the error.
@@jsoto3763 this sounds like there was an error while trying to flash a file to a partition on the device. (maybe a bad usb cable or an unstable connection during installation)

you can try to use the samsung smart switch and its 'emergency recovery' feature
or you can use Odin to manually flash the original firmware as I demonstrate here - ruclips.net/video/_QwLhnqMEqM/видео.html
with everything back to a normal booting android os, you can then try again (I would redownload and repatch the AP file with Magisk if you're going to try again. . .since there could have been file corruption from these along the way)
I was able to recover the cell phone, using softbrick to release the download mode and then install a fireware with odin having installed the updated drivers. thanks for your recommendations
When I run odin3 to the end, it says it failed. now my phone wont open and always in downloading state. what should i do now?
You did that incorrectly or you had a different model, or you had to extract file.
Flash the AP file(unmodified) and try again later
The data will not be lost right?
I mention this in the video
can i use odin to remove imei blacklist on s22 ultra ? anyone point me to some direction?
I don't think so
Will I still get official software update
Quick question, will this erase all files on the phone? Never tried rooting before!
unlocking the bootloader does, indeed, wipe your data. im not sure if that actual root process does as i have yet to do it. still contemplating whether its worth it or not, as its a bit scary for me lol
@@GrahamEubanks I fully hear ya on that. I can't reset my Google Account password because I lost my old phone number... Now if I ever lose my PC or old phone, my Gmail account is done, along with EVERY other email/service attached to it. My fucking life from the past 12 years are on this account, yet Google thinks I'm some stranger trying to break into my OWN FUCKING ACCOUNT. IF THE IP ADRESS THAT SENDS THE REQUEST IS THE SAME AS THE MF LOGGED IN AS THE EMAIL IN QUESTION, WHY IS IT BEING "DENIED" 120hrs LATER FUCK am I ready to explode and this issue is a literal drop is the mf ocean of shit I want to self destroy over FUCk
Does it work with US model?
difficult and long process. also probably loose warranty. I tried get acess on CPU level use temporary root acess. It faster and after reboot phone returned to same condition. Also brick free!
Snapdragon variant?
I own the Hong Kong snapdragon variant, so this video works on that one. but not all snapdragon variants can be bootloader unlocked (that's the main requirement)
@@ExplainingAndroid if you buy the snapdragon unlocked device from Samsung will that work?
@@gary1488 you're looking for 'bootloader unlocked' not 'sim unlocked'
but yes, if you buy a bootloader unlockable version of the snapdragon variant from Samsung, it will work
@@ExplainingAndroid ahh. Honestly unsure what you get from them but it's on the way.
Can I do this with an exynos s20?
yes! the process is virtually identical. just make sure you're downloading the firmware that matches your device (and not the S22 firmware)
@@ExplainingAndroid thank you!! 🙏
