Great video! I’m so glad you and Esther had such a good time.
I looked online and found this info on friction pens
“In order to remove the marks completely, you need to use a spot remover. Two products have been proven effective by Pilot: Amodex Ink & Stain Remover and Mötsenböcker’s Lift-Off 3. Regular laundering will probably not be strong enough.”
And yes, I’ve seen August’s section of the MFE SAL. Looking forward to it!

I’m loving the nautical and spooky fabric. I hope you manage to get the pen out, I’ve never used a pen as I was worried something like that would happen

I don't see your day/weekend meetups as a competition to Stitch Basel, it is actually something I like and support, as people will be able to meetup more frequently and keep in touch. A really positive thing for the cross stitch community in Germany and surrounding countries 🥰

So sorry about the elephant in the room. That is heartbreaking to do all that work, have a beautiful finish and then a pen bleed. Good luck! Congratulations on Stitch North. It looked like a lot of fun. Both the nautical and spooky fabrics look beautiful to stitch on.

Hey there ,Ilonka! Great seeing you ! ❤️ Congratulations on 1k subscribers!!!🎉🎉🎉 You deserve every single one and much more. Lovely to see you stitching the fox on the Danish Stitcher's hand-dyed fabric! 🤩 She did an excellent job matching that. Your stitching looks very neat! I must've missed the episode where you mention the patterns. Must catch up. 🥰 Oh, also , those calendar months pieces are GORGEOUS! I really look forward to seeing you stitch those. And I would love to join you in a Temperature Stitch SAL next year. 🤗

Glad your retreat went well, and that you enjoyed it. Love your owl finish. Hope you had a wonderful vacation. I love the nautical pattern and actually already have it. Haven't found fabric for it yet. I am in the mood to stitch all the spooky patterns now. Congrats again on 1,000 subscribers.

Haha! Yeah 4hr drive is a day trip. Last summer my family drove across the US from Pa to Colorado, a 28hr drive. I drove 24hr straight, stopped to sleep and then did the last 4hr. (It looks like that would be roughly equivalent to you driving to St Petersburg, Russia.) This year, we flew across the country and then drove 2000 miles (3200km) during the 18 day trip. My husband and I love road trips! I have that nautical pattern in my etsy favorites. It looks fun! I guess it is almost the time of year for spooky stitching. I am in denial about summer ending.

I think that I much prefer the spooky piece. I think it has more potential, so to speak.

Moin! Wow, 1000 subscribers and of course I'm one of them. Just wanted to start a nautical pattern, my spooky is already in progress. Thanks for all your tips, knowledge and I love your sense of humour!

Ah your mini retreat looked so fun! We just watched you on the tv as per and Dave is distraught at the gridding disaster so I'll have to make sure he's kept up to date if you manage to fix it 😅 Also, I had to google "spaghetti ice cream" and I'm confused about why it exists but also really want to try it. Have a great time on holiday!
p.s. I don't usually do these but spooky and nautical are two of my favourite themes so why not? 😁

My sister lives on a boat and I wanted to do her a nautical chart I found a super little chart that said “ let’s get nautie” which was perfect. In Australia we call those small mushrooms champignons to put on pizzas. The spooky fabric looks a bit like murky

Hi Ilonka, lovely to see you again and I'm happy that you had such an amazing time in your retreat! I'm flattered that you think that my chart will look good on that fabric. I'm very surprised that you got my 'Bottoms up!' pattern, I can't wait to see your progress on that one! Maybe you should become my model stitcher lol! I really like those quakers with months on them. I might stitch them in the future so I can change them each month :D.

It was so nice to catch up! I was trying to come up with a clever story about spooky nautical things involving a pirate and ghosts, but it just wasn’t working, so I’ve given up and am just going to tell you about my failure 😂 Congrats on 1000 subscribers! Good luck with that frixion pen. I use it very sparingly these days, because I was really burned by a piece I made a couple years where the lines came back. So disappointing! Have an awesome week!

Being a mean one here and making use of speaking two languages 🤓😇! Congratulation to 1K subscribers, you were my gateway into also finding German speaking Flosstube and I am forever grateful for that!
The spooky fabric would look amazing with an Autumn Lane Stitchery pattern I think. A match made in heaven! Or rather hell? 😂😈

I love watching your videos. I did have a panic attack over your cross stitch pen problem. I use the Frixxon pens, but not the markers. I haven't had that issue so far. I want to work on my crochet, but it is too hot here. I love the Nautical and Spooky fabrics.

Hi Catty. Actually, you won the giveaway. Maybe you haven’t seen my following videos. I guess the algorithm was a bit wired over the last few weeks. If you could send me a message. Either via email which you can find in the description box or contact me on Instagram. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Nautical. Spooky. I dont think of it as competing with us at all. I think of it ad strengthening the European stitching community. They have retreats all over the US, all the time. Some dates work for people, some don't. Some locations are better than others for people to travel to. I LOVE that they are starting to be options for all these women who for years have been sitting at home, alone, stitching beautiful creations and hardly having anyone to talk to about it. Hurray for StitchNorthDe!!!!
