Our spec tire for us is a Hoosier WRS D55. This year we are allowed to sipe tires. We run 604 Crate. How would you sipe this tire? Track usually gets dry and slick.
which one of those cuts would you recommend on a D55 hoosier for a track that typically does not slick off very much, or at least not to the point it takes rubber?
So you race on a brown racetrack, sounds like D55 is too hard I'd probably recommend going for a 1425 1450 or an LM30 55s are good for dusty gritty slick tracks, when siping remember cross sipes take heat out of the tire circumference sipes put heat in a tire
+Jacob Juhl When a tire fires it means that it has come up to its working temperature and optimum grip. Chunking is when parts of the tire start ripping out of the tread and leads to loss of performance and eventually tire failure.

What compound is that less cut up tire?
what does it mean when you say:
1. that a "tire fires"?
2. "chunk out a tire"?
