It takes a lot of time to achieve this kind of look, so my advice for those just starting is: just be on the hunt for prim pieces that speak to you and they will find the right place in your home, and enjoy what you already have as you add more and more or if you keep to a minimal look. Absolutely delightful, charming, and heart warming. I am new to primitive, but familiar with colonial design from my paternal grandparents and my mother. My mother had some elements of country. She had a great eye for color, her favorite being blue. I had colonial style, married a man who didn’t care for it and my beautiful home was no more. Now going through divorce at the age of 69 and I am returning to my first love, colonial. But I have discovered A Primitive Place, your videos, and like minded friends on social media so will be adding primitive to my home. Thank you for giving us inspiration, especially to us in the South. We do not have as much furniture as the north. I have heard it is due to the heat and humidity rotting everything. So not many people follow this type of design. Merry Christmas and happy new year. I look forward to watching all of your videos!
