Karen’s house is just breathtakingly prim….so many display ideas. You can clearly see how much she enjoys collecting and decorating and showing off the primitive style. It takes a lot of time to achieve this kind of look, so my advice for those just starting is: just be on the hunt for prim pieces that speak to you and they will find the right place in your home, and enjoy what you already have as you add more and more or if you keep to a minimal look. Thanks Anne for bringing us such wonderful videos to watch and enjoy over and over, and thanks for all the education on these precious antiques.

Loved seeing this...all the greenery, the oranges, candles, lights, and the gingerbread men, so love these Christmas/winter touches...and the rest of the home furnishings and decor, so delightful...love the music you paired with this too.

Absolutely delightful, charming, and heart warming. I am new to primitive, but familiar with colonial design from my paternal grandparents and my mother. My mother had some elements of country. She had a great eye for color, her favorite being blue. I had colonial style, married a man who didn’t care for it and my beautiful home was no more. Now going through divorce at the age of 69 and I am returning to my first love, colonial. But I have discovered A Primitive Place, your videos, and like minded friends on social media so will be adding primitive to my home. Thank you for giving us inspiration, especially to us in the South. We do not have as much furniture as the north. I have heard it is due to the heat and humidity rotting everything. So not many people follow this type of design. Merry Christmas and happy new year. I look forward to watching all of your videos!

Anne, you always put out wonderful videos all through the year, but there's something special about these prim Christmas home tours. So simple, yet so beautiful. I do not have a prim home, although I might stick in a prim piece here or there. But since watching your channel, I wish I could start all over again and go prim.
