Great coverage! Thank you. It appears to me only a few Modders have raised the benchmark C8 that Tadge & his group has paved the way. I enjoy everyone's perspective of the Vette. I just prefer the factory vette at this time. :)
SEMA is such an interesting circus. Take any of the vehicles individually and they are usually put together very well. They would attract a huge crowd at any show on any weekend. But in SEMA? They all start to look the same. The C8 is already a well put together car, so modifying one to stand out at SEMA is a huge investment. I couldn't imagine spending all the time on a 35-piece kit for 5 cars to be made, but if 4 of 5 are already sold they know their market better than I do. The things I have looked for every year is the investment in new technology. Is anyone showcasing something that has been 3D printed in plastic or metal? Or is it using the same technology in a different way? I would expect next year to be full of the S650 Mustangs, Z06 Corvettes, and maybe a few of the limited ICE Dodges before they move to EVs. Thanks for taking the time to check it out for those that couldn't get down there this year. Enjoy the rest of the week.
Well, only day 1 is behind me, so today I scour for new specific goals...things like you mention. I will say, the vehicle turnout just isnt there...it's very thin. I expected Nissan Z's to rule the show...there are pretty much none. TJ Hunt has a modded one and essentially beat the world. C8's just aren't there in mass like I was expecting. In my video just uploaded I do every Corvette and there are some C1's and C2's that really showed up; two of them EV conversions. EV packages from Tremec and Magna Steyr are definitely coming. I'll see more today...if I can package a good video, I will.
Yeah...not much variation in styling. Tge widebody/bagged/z06 aero flavor is represented, but not much ingenuity or evolution beyond that. I think if supply were stronger, and more cars were in customer hands we'd see a lot more but...things are pretty dried up this year honestly.
The red mist jotech c8 inside you didn’t peak down below rear bumper. That’s actually the most powerful/fastest c8 at sema. The car dynoed 1227 on medium boost.
I never understand y people would put truck fender on a sports car and think it's cool...... Anderson Composite C8 is the only wide body I like out of all of them. Too bad they only offer in CF. $$$$$
Technically the over fender stems back to early road racing where bolt on flares covered wider slicks. Trucks popularized it in the late 70s and 80s but...started with cars.
Great content and thanks, but we have to talk about some of the most horrific mutilations of the C8 platform ever witnessed. The infatuation of poor taste wide body solutions on some cars that look like 90s car culture is very disappointing. With the unbelievable choice of wrap available, not one company applied modern flowing roofline to body contrast successfully to highlight the C8s lines like modern European hypercars do. There wasnt even striping on Aero that was done in a modern concept. Maybe next year.
Yeah...tough year...everyone here is describing it simply as "a weird SEMA"...its kind of hard to describe. Sema is very much an indicator of the health of economy and many things...I'm not seeing a lot confidence....thats all I can say
AMEN!!! I’m not a huge fan of the C8, anyhow, but I can appreciate that many really love it. I’m more of a traditionalist, so I can’t stand fender flares, crazy wheels or lowered cars. The fender flares looks like ass imo.
Thanks for the great SEMA 2022 Coverage. I'll be looking out for many of the Vettes you highlighted on Thursday when I'll be walking the show
Thank you for the video, the winner is, label Motorsports C8, beautiful interior and exterior ❤️
🤩Appreciate ya!
Thanks again for Sema coverage!
Good to meet you and appreciate the feedback. Hope your trip went well!
Appreciate it! I missed this comment til now. Nice meetin you as well
Great video with the C8s
Thanks - I enjoyed the C8 expo
Very cool. The Green Liberty Walk C8 made the trip from Orlando FL! His RUclips channel is @RearWheelDrive

Promise you next year there will be something new and exciting for the C8s regarding exhaust. Think Z06 sounds w/ a base C8
Just saw Rob Dahm's 4 rotor RX7 video from the Valvoline booth. He also put a rotary in a C5 Corvette.
Some cars aren't unveiled immediately, so I pass a few covered cars. It's the price to be paid to have the first videos out.
@@KnightDriveTV I don't know if his rotary c5 is in the show, but it was on his car trailer in the video.
The wrap on his RX7 looked great though

What about Chevrolet did they have a booth with the Z06?.
No Chevy booth this year….or ford. Not sure when or if they will come back
Like Lace said...GM bailed out...dodge took their spot.
To each their own I guess. I found most of those C8s were a bit tacky.

My cousins C8 dynoed 1420 on high boost.
Oh snaps

They have a Fiberglass version for 10k. Check their website.

There ricing out the C8 smh
Too many nice vettes Tampered with and those wings seem out of place imho
Those bolt-on kits are so freakin' ugly!!!
To each their own...body kit options are good, we just need some additional diversity.
You should show more of the car and less of the builder who you are talking to.
Its chaotic there...very hard to do all this at once, interview, find cars, navigate crowds, shoot broll to support...its harder than it looks
Talks down on cars but drives a Honda
Who drives a honda? I used to have some Hondas...lol.
A lot of modifiers really know how to make ugly C8s.
green car the best
