You recently got to meet Debbie in a video I posted about the attacks senior nomads are coming under in this country, Oceanside , California in particular, Many of these nomads are getting by on very small social security checks.. Well, it is not all discouraging news. In this video you will get the chance to go on a tour of a simple but beautiful tiny Ford Connect ,van built out by this resilient and resourceful senior solo female nomad. She built this van in only three weeks and with no prior construction experience. And, for only around $400!!! I think you will be especially impressed by the creative and cost effective outdoor shower she built and the hack she used to make a kitchen cabinet fit her needs. Well, what are you waiting for? Come on and join us. Don't forget to like, this video, because I know you will love this van. And, if for some odd reason you are still not a GLOWBIE, hit that subscribe button and notification bell so you won't miss out on any of the upcoming videos and the follow up report on those city council members. See if they got a dose of compassion. See you soon. xoxoxo

Hello Glowbies, I am so pleased to let you know that Debbie from this video now has her own You Tube Channr3l. She's a newbie You Tuber and she really is rocking it. Like me she is learning to edit too. I would love for you to go on over and show her some love and encouragrment and join her channel. I even added a link above to make it easy. Hopefully it works. LOL You all know how technically challenged I am.
Woo hoo the link works! You did it! I love this video! I’m amazed at everything she has in there, and it’s so functional and beautiful! It’s just my size! Thank you for sharing this! Can’t wait to see more! 👍👍❤️
I've subscribed to her page and this one as well. Newest, biggest fan with #vanlife goals! Thank you for this! LP
Thanks for sharing her RUclips channel! New subbie!!
I'm sure rent is 10 times higher than N.C. I work and I still don't have enough money to get a 2 bedroom. I hate that places don't accommodate older generations.
I'm a 71yr old Solo Female NOMAD. I am very proud of this lady! Marie ❤️
I bet there is a story behind your decision to become a nomad. I would love to hear it. Thanks so much for stopping by.I am proud if Debbie to. Just shows there is no age limit on ingenuity!
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 hi glorious luv. Jan once again. Yep im 74 yrs. Old now. I cant wait until i can get my husband off the couch and go camping to be a nomad. Ive been in stinking apts. For 47 yrs. Now. Im sick and tired of. Helping the owner continue to over charge for the rent. All he does every 6 months is say the taxes is up so he needs to up on the rent. I called him out. I told him you steal from all of us. The taxes is not up on you cuz ive called to check on property taxes on apts. He is a liar and a thief. He was bad during the pandemic. He told us all if we cant pay th rent then move out. Will not give a good refrence to anyone. He is bad. We all here was half hungry. Had to eat with neighbors to have enough food to eat for the day. This is a senior living low income property. Everyone had to share there food to have a balanced meal. The owner is a demon. We can see it written all over his face. His actions speaks for himself. Seems like there are to many rich people thats a demon. Oh .the owner is a multi . millionare. He and his wife is the only owner of this place. They own other apts. To. Also owns different businesses to.
Me too. Im thinking of starting in my car
You go girl. Bont look back. Keep moving forward. Just get out there and do it. Keep on keepin on. Stay away from negative people. Life is to short. You have only one life to live. Enjoy it while you can. Love you all. Jan from texas. Love you to. Glorious.
Please call all the ladies who responded to her. We need every call. Please
That is a great interview. This woman is classy and I hope she gives all older women hope that you can be on your own with a car or van and be just fine.
I think a lot of women who are anxious about rising rents were encouraged by Debbie's story. And, that is a good thing. Thanks for stopping by .
She sure is classy and beautiful!
I thought the same
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 Housing has gotten way overpriced and especially for a single person on SS it's impossible. I have a friend who was recently searching and searching for something affordable so she could sell her home to her son who also needed something affordable for his family.
Z
She looks good to be 62. My mom was her age when she passed in 2019. It saddens me but like my stepdad said we have to go on. I give my thumbs up for this lady! Keep up the good work.
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom.How difficult it is to lose a mom, but at such a young age is even more difficult.
🙏🏽🙏🏽✨💪🏼
Debbie is such a clever woman. It’s been a delight to listen to her ideas!
She does have some great ideas and is adding even more on her channel, Lady Debbie S Vanlife.
I love seeing livable van options that are affordable and anyone can do. No complicated carpentry or wiring skills required. Beautiful set up!
I love the ideas too that are so simple and affordable for anyone seeking to do a self build. Thanks for stopping by.
Ikr. The men always build to the extreme. I enjoy watching what the women do because we are so creative on a budget 😍
@@cindyonthego702 LOL.....Indeed. Women are so practical.
She has it really cute. It’s amazing how homey and comfy people can make their camper vans...
The video doesn't even begin to really show just how homey and lovely Debbie's van is. It is such a tranquil little haven. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Debbie has such a positive spirit. She took her inspiration from You Tube videos. Its wonderful seeing her simple, inexpensive solutions.
The sad part is these cities do nothing for seniors, except make it even harder.
Thanks for tuning in. You are so right in your comments about what city governments are doing, at least across California. You would think they would be glad people have some shelter as opposed to living in tents on sidewalks!!
Beautiful lady. A lemonade life from life-given lemons.
Lovely comment! 🙏🏼🌺✌🏼😊🙋🏼♀️
That's a great description of Debbie's attitude about life in general.🙂
God bless her. She's got it all figured out.
She really does Trish. Thanks for stopping by.🙂
Amen 🙏🏽
Now, this is nice and very doable. You rock Debbie!
Isn't it cool to see a build that can actually be easily duplicated!?! Thanks for stopping by Nina.
God Bless you Debbie and Glorious Life on Wheels 🛐🕊 Love💕your van Debbie & Love💗the interview. God Bless you both.🤗💕
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 If she has SSI tell her to used her silver sneakers for a gym membership and she can take showers at the gym.
I forgot they have “solar gravity Fed shower bags that she can attach her shower head to, the sun will heat the shower bag (w/water in it) on the roof & then the water comes out thru her shower head being gravity fed & she doesn’t need the foot pump!👍🏻👍🏻😊
@@LadyDebbieSVanlife I am in the same situation . Disability doesn’t cover an apartment. I combined my van with a storage unit that has power. You can’t live in storage unit but it gives me an extra living room😁
Her fold out cutting board and desk is so clever! And her set up is very well planned!!
Debbie has a different vehicle now and will be doing a.tour of it when that build is done. You can see it on Ladu Debbie S Vanlife when it airs.
She did a great job doing the no build, build. It's very pretty inside .
Debbie is my shero! And her van color scheme is beautiful.
Isn't that color simply beautiful? So calm and relaxing too.
My late mother in South Africa used to say “7 times down 8 times up” Well done Debbie. I simply love what you’ve done in your van and what you’ve achieved. You should be very proud of yourself. And thank you Carol for this interview. I love how you showcase the vans as well as the life stories. I have just watched a van tour where they were just showing the person talking and pointing, instead of the actual van. Love your channel.
Thank you so much Hazel. The back stories of the amazing people whose vehicles I tour is as important if not more so to me as the tours. So glad you agree.🙂
Love that “7 times down 8 times up” in the middle of an epic battle right now and that’s an excellent reminder to never give up!
@@jojomama2424 if you knew how many times I’ve used that as a crutch over the decades and also encouraged others with those words, it would astound you.
Great modifications. 👍
This was so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing how you accomplished a good life on a really tight budget.. Im searching for a way to accomplish what you've done for myself so i can quit work. Im 85 n tired, but you've given me hope. Thanks again sweet lady. Stay safe.
I can't help but say this ole skool saying "YOU GO GIRL".
Haha. Ole skool.is good!!
Ok…I love Debbie. What a great job she did creating her special home.
It is certainly lovely and comfortable 😊 Debbie has a new You Tube channel too. Lady Debbie S. Vanlife.
I am 63 and have been in my van for almost a year. I truly love it 😍
Wow. I would love to hear your story and what you have learned about vanlife in the year you have been in your van. If you are interested in communicating you can reach me @ gloriouslifeonwheels@gmail.com
I just love her! She is so laid back and relaxed and seems to have things exactly how she wants and really enjoying her freedom in her beautiful van! Glad she is happy now and has found her way.
Debbie needs to register LTVA sites then she will be secure .
It was such a joy interviewing Debbie. Her can do attitude was so inspiring!
A beautiful lady. You go girl. Debbie. And you to glorious.one. love you both.
Wonderful Lady xxx
"Tell them Debbie sent you!" Delightful. Great shower ideas.
Don't you just love Debbie😄 BTW she has started her own channel, Lady Debbie S Vanlife. Do check it.out.
First of all, she does not look 62. She also looks like she's at peace. Her buildout is so neat and inviting. May God continue to bless and keep her.
This is a blessing to me. I'm happy she's happy. I'm also happy she found a solution that would allow her to have a home.
She's a beautiful woman with gorgeous skin.
Debbie is certainly a beautiful lady, not only on the outside but on the inside too. Just a lovely spirit.
Her van is beautiful. Love the colors she used and how she transformed the stuff from Home Depot. Brilliant. 👏
It really is a brilliant and simple build. The color scheme is so calm and soothing.
Excellent. May god bless you all.
Debbie has so many great ideas. She's living a wonderful life and gets to make her own decisions. Good for her!
I love Debbie. I wish the world would stop thinking that if you don't have a brick and mortar home then that means you're homeless. Home is where a person's sanity, comfort, and heart is. Debbie you go girl!
She looks amazing!!!! Black don’t crack easily, that’s for sure
Haha. Debbie certainly looks amazing and nowhere near her actual age.
You all are beautiful.
Good skin genes. Beautiful skin.
@@SummerWindnewleafbotanicacom you are so right. Thank you.
I'm looking forward of Debbie own utube channel!! Her van was beautiful very impressive may God continue to bless her protect her and increase her finances ❤️!!
Debbie I am also 62. Thank you for welcoming me into your world. Lovely build. Grateful you were able to get into the connect to stretch out Yay. Sandra
Debbie has really turned her Connect into a cozy and welcoming haven for her. Thanks for your comments Sandra.
I'm happy that she was able to get her van & to be able to stretch out when needed& be comfortable. I'm 58 with back problems so it's really an important issue getting comfortable. For getting it done in 3 weeks I'd say she did a great job. I love how comfy & homey it already is. I love the shower too. May God bless her & keep her safe in His hands.
Debbie is a genius. The van kitout looks so good. Light airy. Shower set up...wow! Debbie is so mart with budget design n functionality. Well done! Nice to hear from black women too. Thnx gloria.
More and more women of every age, race and economic background are finding their happy place as nomads. It is really delightful to see. Thanks for stopping by Rona.
Thank you Carol for sharing Debbie’s home with us!! Bless her heart. She’s so sweet. I admire her courage and resilience. May God bless her travels!!
Debbie really is a truly sweet soul. Thanks so much for watching and commenting Terri.
God bless you Debbie, I think you have found the road to happiness. Love hearing how women over come obstacles and create a good life for themselves. Thank you Carol for sharing Debbie's story with us. Take care.
Thank you Adele. It is always such a pleasure sharing stories of creative and resilient individuals like Debbie.
I turned 66 this year an I'm sooo tempted but in SA ... very dangerous
Well done Debbie! I'll be 62 in a few years and I am already binge watching videos of van life. This is such an affordable and fun way to spend retirement.
Why would anyone dislike this.... ?
Thanks for sharing experience Debbie! Another great video!
"We the People" just need to live & let live, God Bless. 🇺🇸 ❤️
Amen to that!!!
You definitely make 62 look 55. Blessings
It's a pleasure to see a van dweller who managed to make everything without exta carpentry.
It is encouraging to see what can be done on a budget and so simply.
Great interview.. love seeing strong women overcoming problems and finding peace
What a beautiful setup. Very efficient and attractive.
It really is Debbie. Compact and efficient as well as meeting her needs.
She could earn funds to help others to transform their vehicles *
She did very well. I like what she has done.
She certainly did a great job!
Nice van, may God continue too bless you and protect you very smart lady, I love the way you set up everything very beautiful, many blessings coming your way...
Anorher example of a strong woman. I give you a ten, love this video..........
God Bless and Protect you Debbie as you go forth in your New Life, in Jesus Mighty Name Amen.
Beutiful Debbie. Sometimes, one feels safer in a car /van etc. then a sticks and bricks
i ~definately~ agree! if i felt unsafe, or even annoyed, in a sticks and bricks, i was stuck with that. now, if i'm not chill, i'm moving on.
So true Gabrielle. In a vehicle if you have neighbor problems you can just get in your rig and move.
I love Oceanside, sad to hear they’re not nomad friendly! She certainly has done a nice job with very little!
So sad too how many former servicemen and women are homeless, on the street. Spent a lot of time in Oceanside years ago, sad also how council not nomad friendly☹️
I’m 61 and thinking very seriously about giving up my apt and living in a van. I love your van setup ..God bless you and I wish you all the luck and happiness ❤️
I just interviewed a 72 year old lady who moved into her van a week ago. It will air 10/21. You might find it interesting.
Love it. Just bought an Explorer Luxury GMC van…. This is so what I would do if I decided to live in my van!!!!
God bless her… love that she is ‘happier now than before’! It isn’t what you have but how you choose to live! Dear Lady you are amazing! May you continue to be very very happy!!!!
5 years in a minivan, cargo van, and now a class b rv... I'm static...for(pt.) work, but feel the vibe of all that don't do the 9 to 5 for 20 years. I did for over 40 years, no gain! God bless you Glo! 💟👍
Sounds like you have experienced it all as a nomad!! May God bless and look over you as you continue on. Thanks for stopping by.
Love Debbie’s build. So creative and inventive. I hope she does start a channel. Her story about living in her car then moving to her van home would be so inspiring.
She says she is planning to launch a channel soon. So, hopefully you won't have to wait long.
Brilliant set up. Especially, the outdoor shower. Thank you for sharing how smart and resourceful women are in our world of Van living.
This lady is a genius! I really hope you check up on her, because I want to see what updates she does.
Debbie has started her own channel. Lady Debbie's Vanlife. Check it out.
Her van is beautiful, well thought out and she did this on a shoestring budget. Way to Go -- Enjoy your life Debbie!!!
It just shows what can be accomplished with a creative mind!! Thanks for watching and commenting Loriann🙂
What a lovely friend you have Debbie. That bed he made as a surprise for you. Wow. Also Debbie love your van, and your ideas. At 62 you have an amazing figure too. May you have a fantastic adventurous nomadic life. You rock!👍😊🌻
God bless u keep safe and pray
Doesn't Debbie look great!! She is enjoying the freedom she is experiencing and looking forward to continuing to work on and implement more innovative ideas in her build.
Amen.
Wow, she looks really good at 62. She did a good job with her van decor and setup. Most importantly, she says she’s happier now than she’s been in a while. Wishing her the very best.
Great set up. It's ever evolving and she's got great ideas to improve her comfort. Love the shower pump. I think the less you have to hook up to a power source the better.
It really is evolving and Debbie shows some more changes she made in her new You Tube channel, Lady Debbie S Vanlife!!
I would just have loved to see how she hangs it cuz I wouldn't want to hold the shower handle pump with foot and then soap n exfoliate...I think in a very private spot, your birthday suit is, fine. As there are a lot of secret places...its only the trees n birds...plus another nomad lady did pay for a planet fitness membership if, that works for some and u can get the membership that's connected all USA. Or, often if you did a fitness tour they let you use facilities free...but at the end of this manic time is probably when that would serve better? For some. Also if you come across YMCA again at end of the adgenda plandemic may serve some...I don't understand how the battery works. Are they just a big box unit and you plug your extensions into that....any tutorials to suggest...also fans...ty
Love it! Congrats to you Debbie for not giving up on yourself; enjoy your peace of mind and God will do much with the little we have when we honor Him, I'm going to save for a year so I can leave my job and hit the open road, the beauty of this nation and world has gotten lost in the problems of society. It's time to enjoy the simple nature and calm it brings
I couldn't agree with you more. That is very wise to save up for a year so you can handle any unexpected events. Good luck. I would love to see what you start your journey out in!
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 I'll be following and informing you my sis, take care

I was amazed too Anna at how quickly Debbie was able to do this build. Just shows what determination and imagination can accomplish😊
You know what, she can actually fit one of those small portable toilets inside her van.... This was a wonderful interview and I wish this sweet lady the best of luck!!🤎🤎💯💯💯
Thanks Yvette. Debbie now has her own channel Lady Debbie S Vanlife. Also, I have a video coming out 10/21 you might enjoy of an adventurous 72 year old lady who did her own build and just moved into her van a week ago.
Aww I love Debbie. Such a sweet lady. She's a survivor
She is indeed. Tuanks for stopping by🙂
thank you , Debbie , for showing us all your home on wheels.. and thank you , as always, to carol for your passion, compassion and kindness in every video that you create.. big virtual hug from nora kag 💜
Thank you Nora. You are unfailingly kind as always. Sending love and a big hug to you too💝
Ingenious turning the cabinet on its side! Debbie has been so clever and creative with her build, it shows that where there is a will, there’s a way. God bless, Debbie!
Debbie really is so creative. She started her own You Tube channel, Lady Debbie S Vanlife, and has even more.creative ideas in her first video. Check it out.
What a cozy and smart set up!! Very nice. Be safe out there Mamita 😊
I enjoy watching the videos. I understand some people end up in situations out of their control others decide on something different.
I wouldn't choose that type of living. I totally love my house with a lots space with a TV in every room & I love having things (stuff), I love working in my yard (flowers & vegetable gardens). I enjoy sitting on my deck & having company stop by. I appreciate my life. Thank God every morning 🌄
Debbie, did that *🥳
Sounds like you are enjoying life Mary and that is wonderful.. It is so great that we have choices and can decide what works best for each of us.
Way 2 go girls, this is the Future 4 those looking to live free. A style an class of very smart people, the I'm not going 2 give up crowd has arrived. Just take a look guys this is amazing.thease interviews r so important.people r learning how 2 survive. an with dignity.
I absolutely agree with you. Living in vehicles is going to be the wave of the future.
You are brilliant. Maybe the guys might learn a thing or two. Heeeeeeeee.
Love her energy and great interview!
I'm in my mid 50s and have become disillusioned by the rat race. I'm now exploring van life as an option.
Best wishes to you Debbie!
It is certainly a viable option Roxanna. But, it does take some planning and a lot of determination.
Living free with purpose can't be beat! Independent and able to travel is something I love about van life.
Making the most of what one has is satisfying. The community makes life more enjoyable 😉
Love how Ms. Debbie transformed her van for livable options. Great idea of turning the cabinet on its side and making it work for her. Nice color scheme also. All the best and thanks for sharing.
I'm loving the color theme too. So many great ideas in this build.
I just found your site. I am going to call each council member and ask if they hate elderly women? That should stir them I hope
So they would rather have broken down vehicles broken down on the road and people defecating on the road than a small van who is keeping themselves clean amd safe from the elements and or being raped and robbed. This needs to be fought now. Please keep us updated. Thank you and God bless. I knew this was coming, next will be a few to have a van. Just wait and see
Thank you so.much Cheri!! I will be attending the next City Council meeting on August 4th. Your calls.will definitely help🥰
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 Gresr I will call again a on the Aug 2 and Aug 3 so it’s fresh. Please keep us updated. I want to help in anyway possible. Thankful for you.

Thank you so much Debbie. I hope to be doing a tour of Cats rig very soon.
Debbie has a beautiful genuine smile, though she barely shows it off in this video. Thank you for sharing.
She was really nervous. But, she now has her own channel, Lady Debbie S Vanlife. So, she got over her nervousness🤣
Courage. It's not being helpless. Pays alot. Enjoy your life. You have a home. Admirable.
It truly is an amazing build from a very resourceful lady.
I’d like to try this lifestyle I bet I could really grow a nice savings from not having to pay rent
A lot of people do certainly seem to be saving a bunch of money every month. But there are some challenges depending in where you are going to be living or traveling to. I would love to hear about it if you decide to give it a try Stephanie.
She’s so beautiful ♥️🌹♥️God bless her
This is so encouraging! I've often thought of nomad life. My kids are almost all out of the nest... I may give this a try. I love the freedom the nomads have! Blessings to you all! 💜💜💜💜💜
It certainly offers a.great deal of freedom Maryam. I suggest anyone thinking about this lifestyle give it a trial run if possible.
Thank you Debbie for sharing your home with us...God bless you as you live one day at a time❤️
She has the best van set up I've seen here on YT.
And it was done on such a reasonable budget!!
love this video, its so wonderful to see senior lady be so independent, when she needs to be , just loved her spirit , maybe she should teach class at senior centers , if push comes to shaw don't be trodded on by people, hold your head high , respect
Debbie does volunteer in the community. She truly is an example of not throwing in the towel as a senior!!
Right because senior housing is not that good little rent but it comes with a price
She is so adorable.. I retire in 2 years and watch these videos to learn and get ready.
This is soooo what I need to see! Very inspiring.
i'm 4 minutes in and it sounds like Debbie is being questioned against her will lol its kind of funny. ok it gets better when we get to how the van was built. i'd be the same probably. great job it looks wonderful and i wish her all the luck in the world!
Haha. No, I promise Debbie was not being held hostage for the interview🤣She was just nervous being on camera.
I felt the same way. The interviewer didn't have a smooth flow of her questions. No compliments in tone. The interviewer seemed quite awkward mixed with something else.
Plus, the interviewer told far more of her personal situation than the tiny home required.
However, I loved the workmanship of the van, color scheme and convenience.
Just shy my dear, just shy. She's a beautiful lady too, inside and out. God BLESS her!
🤣😂😂
@@tonyagrinston294 the interviewer sounded a bit condescending.

Thank you Jaeon. I appreciate that and I also value my viewrrs' time so I do my best to produce content that is worthy of your time.
Thank you for sharing you have a great day it is very hard for senior citizen
The sad thing is that people who don't have to are making it even harder. Whether or not a country respects and honors its elders says a lot, I believe, about the future of that nation!!
Beautiful how inovative you are, you make life work for you, and you don't owe anybody anything!😇🥰
It's a wonderful set up and really makes use of the double doors!
Switch that passenger seat to a swivel and you'd have a built in recliner too!
Really makes me think about a smaller van like this.
Just coming around to comment again. Last I spoke with Debbie she had taken out her front passenger seat, but then she loves tinkering with different things on her little home.
Debbie, your van is so neat and cute!
It really is adorable and so inviting!!
I love this, Debbie is an inspiration!!
She really is. I looknforward to following her when she gets her You Tube channel up and running.
She did a great job with her van! I'm taking notes.
She really had some fabulous ideas. Love the cabinet being turned on the side. I have two other videos on Ford Connects that also have some terrific ideas including a USB faucet and more.
Good starter setup. The interviewer is what I wasn’t too thrilled about. The interviewee is only reason I continued to watch. Some good ideas. I’m gonna stop paying rent one day and get a van for myself.
Well, I.am glad there was something you enjoyed about this video🙂
Awesome lady. She is such a lovely person. Please tell Debbie that another Debbie I,( myself) is very impressed. What a great interview you did . Great video. X
Thank you so much. Debbies are some pretty amazing people🙂
Thank you for this video both you ladies are inspirational nomads. I pray that they stop persecuting those that are living in their cars/ vans etc.
I pray the same thing. Hopefully shedding light on the actions of the city council will bring about some much needed changes. Thanks for stopping by.🙂
This is the best for connect build I've seen yet, it all works so well, very very nice
And she did it with no prior experience!
Someone should partner with her to produce those vans. Awesome brilliant idea. Go lady. So proud of you as a black woman taking charge of your life. May God conu
So Beautiful! Keep winning! Continue to Soar.
What a lovely sentiment Kimberly 🥰
Very nice. Just proves anything is possible for anyone to survive with a little determination. Thank you.
It certainly does prove that. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Amazing, but they’ll let tents all over the city??
I don't get how forcing people out of vehicles and into tents is a better solution. But then, when have politicians ever been known for coming up with great solutions to problems.
