    ,Elephants are such magnificent creatures and I have watched every video I can find of them babies/family/bulls . I don't watch any videos of them being abused or slaughtered as I cannot handle cruelty even when baby elephants are killed by predators . I just want to see them happy , safe , and living as nature intended !!

    Another beautiful insight into bull elephant world. Even in the realm of Asian Bulls, some of the most dominant ones have been the gentlest... and I think this gentleness arises out of supreme self confidence and this is something the alpha human males of the world NEED TO LEARN from these magnificent creatures who never cease to amaze.

      It is true for humans too, the kindest men are the strongest men. The strongest men have nothing to prove, it is the weak men that are insecure about their strength and compensate for that by having a massive ego and attacking other men.

    I am wondering how the lady with the cameras can sit there so close to these wild elephants, and neither the elephants nor the lady seem overly concerned about each other's safety or presence?

    • @rogernamvet
      @rogernamvet 7 лет назад +34

      I think I found the answer on another Smithsonian video. The lady, Caitlan, if that is her name, is in a BUNKER, where she can drop down out of sight if need be, and I guess that the various elephant families that come to drink are used to her.
      And, once again, there are shots of Caitlan and the bunker from a distance, indicating that a vehicle and a cameraman are close by. So, once again, the wild animals are used to humans viewing them, and humans and wildlife are at peace with each other (no poachers in sight).
      GREAT VIDEOS. Thank You to all involved in the posting of these videos. Roger.
