    Great summary of those topics. I would love to see a more in depth video explaining the specifics of tuning a workers difficulty.
    I know some mining software allows you to set a difficulty level.

    difficulty does not change the amount of coins given to miners in each block only how difficult the task to find the block key. reducing block reward is a factor to limit how many coins will exist in the market over time. otherwise it would be infinite coins.

    • @haydermaha
      @haydermaha 3 года назад

      so true! the difficulty adjusts in order to keep the block time constant, and has nothing to do with the reward.

    I have a question. Which is better The higher the difficulty or the lower difficulty?. because I have lower difficulty and I dont know it is good . is that true if the lower difficulty the lower you will get the reward?

    Great video! I would love to see a video about Ethereum Difficulty as it has been shooting up recently and I can't find much information about how much I should worry at this point. It's almost at 3,000 I'm wondering if that means 3GB cards will not be usable in the future or how that works.

    Hey mate, this is a nice video, thank you but i have a question that i could not find decent answer for that. There are 3 type of share you mentioned; accepted, rejected and incorrect. At least, at my mining pool there are 3 type of shares.. Anyway, all my share are accepted but some of them are stale, approximately 10 percent. But the thing is they counted as accepted, i mean they are in accepted category in brackets. The question is, I am earning reward for them? (Accepted stales) I hope i could tell my problem. Thank you :)

    I have found setting my own difficulty has yeilded me much better results. I am mining ETN with 2 rigs, 1 at 4k h/s the other around 2k h/s. My question is how many shares per minute should i be submitting? Ive been aiming for about 3. Should I up difficulty till i have rejected shares then back it down again? or stay how i have it now?

    Son of a Tech,
    Got question. Im mining ETH at nano pool. My hash rate 240 mh.
    Difficulty i see 10'000
    I cant change it, but not get any errors. But ethermine i get difficulty less, 6'000 at :4444 port.
    And are 14444 port. Not tested.
    At ethermine i get errors on shares at less difficulty.
    Maybe you can tell what difficulty i need to use for Eth at 240 mh.
    Thank you.

    I tried using the SOAT pool but for someone who just started out, it just doesn't pay enough. I have 400mhs and could only get about 4 Pirls in a 12hr period. In that same timeframe on another I get 10 Pirls. So for someone just starting out trying to have a good ROI, its not a smart move to mine on smaller pools that are acting as middlemen to the larger pools.

    • @SonofaTech
      @SonofaTech  6 лет назад

      the only p2pool we have is vert. pirl is prop. Seeing that we have over 30 blocks a day. I am not sure what day you mined ect. As explained there can be unlucky days. 400 mh/s would average about 16-20 pirl a day on the pool. Glad you found one that pays more. The pirl pool we are running is actually one of the larger ones. So just seems like you are confused by the intent of the video and relation to the pools soat runs.

    • @TheRealReasons
      @TheRealReasons 6 лет назад

      Maybe it was an unlucky day or maybe I'm missing something. pirl.sonofatech.com/#/account/0x58bD25657fEe55e64187C70aFa3c06Cc20f6B7A6

    For a while there ethereum difficulty was rising about 32 percent per month! (mining 32% LESS ether each month). Super disappointing... ice age levels again...Almost sold all my cards, but decided I got this far so might as well tough it out a bit longer.

    I know this is 9months old. But my question is, I have a few friends that I want to build a pool with. It seems like helping them set up their own system would be better? Can you give me your thought on this? Because I have about 15 family and friends I was planning on creating this pool.

      Son of a Tech hey thanks for the quick reply. Just noticed I commented on the wrong vid. Just watched your sumocoin vid but realized it’s not current. What pool do you think will have the most profit right now ? I’ve got a 4gpu rig (2x 1080ti’s & 2x 1070ti’s). I’m currently mining with awesome miner but not happy with them. Seems the price per day advertised while mining is not very accurate ,so far I only get paid out about 50-60% of what is shown.
      Thanks for the help.

    If you want a successful pool, add a multi pool for cryptonight coins with payouts similar to the way Mining Pool Hub operates.
    You have a good opportunity.
    There is no big cryptonight mining pool.

    • @SonofaTech
      @SonofaTech  6 лет назад

      crytponight is an algorithm not a coin

    • @jonathanlangford4291
      @jonathanlangford4291 6 лет назад

      Son of a Tech I'm giving you an idea to be successful.
      Create a multipool using the cryptonight algo...mining several coins.
      Mining pool hub is fantastic but does NOT have a multi pool for cryptonight
