one of the most shocking games as a Sharks fan. Usually the opposing team scores and we completely crumble....but this game we answered every time the Devils fought back...great game GO SHARKS!
As an Islanders fan, I say thank you for beating a team that's right below us in the standings. The Sharks did the Islanders a huge favor.
Wow, did not see this coming. Granlund/Duclaire is quite a dynamic duo.
Granny has quietly been an elite playmaker pretty much all his career. He had 53 assists in Nashville the one season he got proper playtime with guys who can actually score.

Great to see Nemec shoot the puck and play very active. Even greater is that coach saw that he plays for the win and gave him ice time. Hopefully he will keep on delivering and the team will get on the winning side once again.
Finally got that first road win of the season. Kahkonen played out of his mind. Nice to see Duclair score a pair. Been waiting for him to get it going, we’re hoping to get some good assets at the deadline for him. Granlund had a good game as well
Their goalie was phenomenal as well..

Canucks fan dropping in to congratulate the Sharks on their first road win of the year. You guys have proven a long known but often forgotten axiom : talent is important, but not as important as commitment and desire. A focused, determined team all on the same page, will triumph over elite talent almost always. Well done boyz!

Sharks now have more regulation wins than the Leafs and Fabian Zetterlund, more goals than timo Meier
Timo is more an all around good NHL player vs a player to use for sure thing scoring. Fabian Zetterlund has some Timo traits.
I love Timo but Grier smoked NJ in that trade. Zetterlund, Okhotyuk, Mukhamadulln, Musty and possibly another 1st this year and if you include the 6th for Blackie who has been excellent this year..big W for GMMG

@@3lackavar It was very unrealistic Timo was going to be worth his current contract and he would be worth even less on a bad sharks team. It is really the same with Hertl only Grier was not the sharks GM at the time and he would have traded Hertl too.
Grier has looked good in his trades with NJ so far sure.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Sharks at this point have more regulation wins than the Leafs right now right? Only in the NHL can you find something so out of the ordinary. Sharks needed a road win and against a team who was in the same position of on the back to back with travel, bit of a perfect storm scenario, oh and they just doubled their road goal total, again only in the NHL
They dont ask how, they ask how many. Leafs have 12 wins and have 27 points with games in hand on most teams. Leafs have a better point percentage than the Panthers if they win their 2 games in hand
@@chrisg1556The leafs aren’t making the playoffs this year, and if they do they won’t be choking in game 7 round 1 this year, it’ll be a sweep or a a gentlemen’s sweep against them.
What's more important is that they have two more regulation wins than the Scabs, who are also the only team to get outshot by San Jose this year. 🤣

The sharks clearly do not care about getting that sure thing top 3 pick so hopefully the sharks do some great trades at the deadline which is what Grier wanted to do in the first place.
Players and coaches do not care about the draft pick. They want to win and stay in the league. Fans and some in mgmt might favor higher draft pick.
@@HarrisonHollers Players and coaches need to think about staying in the NHL as long as they can and that takes positive stats for players and wins for coaches.
The problem is many owners would be better off making their own team do a full rebuild so they get a sure thing top 3 pick in each round that they can keep or trade down for top value. If you trade your own picks and trade down you can take advantage of the impatient GM's that do foolish trades and contracts.
Plus you trade for cap dump players where you can get top 100 prospects in the draft or their top AHL player or a cheaper vet you want to have a look at which is one of the easiest ways to improve a bad team.
Once the team shows it can win multiple playoff rounds is when you start paying out bigger contracts. If it is some HOF player that you want to pay even when the team is bad that is one thing but many teams give big contracts to players that do not deserve it.
Most NHL teams overpay players when there is no indication it was a true cup contending team in the first place. It is generally wasteful.

i'm an old fella, a recent convert to hockey who learnt 2 things tonight= 1/ anything can happen in jersey & 2/ the devils D is awful, make the hughes bros ur poster boys if it sells merch. but when such as the sharks are rippin on u in ur own barn that close up of luke's face after every SJ goal is a sadly pathetic look! give the guy a break theres others on the ice. devils must be upset that the "duke" chose this game to shine. Embarrassing loss for NJ. I do believe Ruff needs to be fired as obviously something just isn’t working. And yes their D and goaltending have been crap but their overall style of play has just been dreadful. In the end, who coaches the team and tells them what to do?… the head coach. Fire Lindy!
