- The Southern No. 2601 diesel locomotive, purchased by Southern Railway in 1963, was one of 120 such locomotives the company ordered over two years, workhorses that pulled fast freight trains. with scaletrains creating this beauty I ordered one and in my 'world' Yall have loaned this to my Tennessee Valley Railroad museum ( my layout is set somewhere along the Tennessee River midway between Chattanooga and Knoxville) She is such a beautiful engine!!!

I live in NC and I tell u this gp30 high hood unit is cool
I have a question does it still have its 567 assemblies and turbo or it has been rebuilt with 645 assemblies with 645 turbo
