I subscribed on the assumption that you wouldn't wait years before your next reaction to Angelina who turned 18 in January. She is the most remarkable young lady I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. The instrumentation on this song was just beautiful...I really love those strings. There are so many supers to this pre-release. This is a jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. Her voice, as usual, just amazing, finally letting 'er rip. Her belting here was otherworldly! Bodes well for the year, for her fans, for anyone who loves good music.
I think she can sing anything she chooses any way she wishes. To get somewhat of a feel I agree, listen to her EP "Old Enough" and her Vegas concert from James Thiel's and BigAngieFan channels.
Angelina has been writing songs since she was 10 years old (or even younger) - So far 12 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, and Our Time. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. When she was 10/11 she rewrote the Lyrics to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Rehab to make them more age appropriate at that time. In addition, Angelina performed an unreleased original song Princess of Ruins at her Las Vegas concerts - if and when that is officially released it will be her 13th original. Also, Angelina has partnered up with Toby Gad to write even more new music - the first one that has been announced is Bad Valentine.

My thoughts on this.
The more I look at this team the more excited I get. I like many had no idea who Toby Gad is. I learned about him after her first performance with him. Another Powerhouse Writer Producer who has worked with only the best of the Industry past and present. Diane Warren another legend visited with Angelina but little came of it. This is very different than that. Angelina and Toby have declared they are working on original material together that they hinted would be available this fall. We are all of course hoping is the long-awaited Album. Some predictions in the past have failed to materialize as predicted. Let's hope this is not the same.
And I've been thinking about the timing which would be brilliant. Many have mentioned a release in September would be late to qualify for this year’s Grammys.
What if that is the plan. We already have two Grammy worthy releases with 'If I Were a Boy' and 'Bad Valentine out right now which will be eligible this year. Produced and performed by two powerhouse singer/songwriters/producers in Angelina and Toby. All of the songs on the album would be eligible for the following year's Grammys. At least in this scenario. If one or both songs win a Grammy think about the runway that would have for a Full year and from the very same powerhouse duo. Having already won they will both be well known by then having already won the Grammy(s). All of those new songs from the new album will be eligible for those Grammys. They will be knocking on the door of the industry. Banging actually! I don't think she can be ignored anymore! Great reaction to a Beautiful song.
One further thought. Hopefully the album is going to be more of the same or similar production. That being the case this is going to be the signature sound, style and voice that will be used to introduce Angelina to the World. This will be her sound, her style. Angelina Just dropped her Official Music Video of 'If I Were a Boy’ The Piano Diaries by Toby Gad. He co-wrote this song with B C Jean and it was made famous by Beyoncé in 2008. Toby is working on a reimagining of 9 of his most famous hits and he chose Angelina for this 'reimagination' of this song. Her second performance released on her Official Channel dropped yesterday again on her Official Channel. They are currently working together on several more songs one of which she performed with her 1st performance of this song at a local nightspot in LA where she also performed this unreleased single called 'Bad Valentine which should be dropping in the next few months. There are also suggestions that they are actually collaborating on Angelina's New Album. Fingers crossed. We are hoping that will soon follow. Toby Gad world renowned multi-Grammy winning songwriter and producer from Germany. I believe we are 'finally' at the precipice of Angelina's introduction to the World Stage and doing it with the power, class and emotion that only Angelina can bring. Does that end you haven't listened to the great EP of he origional songs she put out last year when she was 17. The lyrics To this seem the companion to her NOW IM THE FOOL. This seems like the man's viewpoint to the womans story in Now I'm The Fool. The EP OLD ENOUGH will shock you in all the different genre cocktails. Angelina still flexes her voice to suit the song. Contrast this with her recent Nobel Peace Prize performance of UNCHAINED MELODY. You get to hear her fantastic falsetto which is rare. Normally we are treated to her rich.lower register.

This young lady has & has always had a unique voice, powerful, expressive, rich, beautiful voice and she's been actively performing, writing and recording for years now.
She is also Norway's youngest published author. She is mult-lingual
and though from Norway, has lived in LA since she turned 13 yrs. & signed with Republic records.
I know that AJ is a fan of many artists, including Ms. Winehouse; as for myself, I have never mistaken AJ's voice for anyone elses..never.
