    Hi Tony. Watched this a little while ago. Was looking for a new helmet and rather fancied this AGV. Bought one and not disappointed. I ride a T Tiger 900 GT Pro. With the Puig touring screen this is a very quiet helmet. I’m 6’. Tried the original screen and a Givi screen but not as good.
    Hopefully of interest to any GT 900 owners.
    Thanks for the review. For me very helpful. 👍

    I like my Sport Modular, but I hate that my chin is constantly on the chin bar. I don't like that so many helmets are built for integrated SENA coms, but I like the Cardo, way better. So, I order it. Thanks for your review.

    My first helmet was a Frank Tomas flip helmet from J&S. This needs renewing this time I'll go SportsBike Shop. At £450 its a good choice and they do Klana. This time for the max size of 2XL. Like the Blue. Thank You for the video.

    I can chuck a bit in here having owned both models, the sport and the tour, I would say both helmets are very good but the tour takes the edge , more chin room and just feels like an improvement from an already brill helmet. The tint visor can be close to your nose when it’s all the way down but otherwise sound..
    The noise is lower that most helmets I’ve owned , this is a factor on any helmet… obviously wear ear protection and I would recommend wearing a tube to reduce noise further …
    Don’t hesitate , your heads worth it 🎉

    Love mine excepting the helmet release from fully closed, it feels much lighter than my previous Schuberth. The peripheral vision is superb but the Insyde comms system is overpriced so I’ll stick with my Cardo Bold for now. One of the best helmets I’ve ever had with amazing ventilation and recommended..

    Hi!... Another great video!
    I bought this helmet two months ago and I'm very happy with it. It's my first modular helmet. It's not cheap, but you can't find it in a good price.
    Hi quality, very comfortable, easy to use and it has s good ventilation. It's a bit heavier than my former Shark Speed R, but it's not a big problem.
    A good point is the Insyde intercom system, totally integrated... And made by Cardo Systems.
    I'll be waiting for you review about it!

    I have the sport modular and once it bedded in, the chin strap doesn’t feel like it’s choking me. My only, and it’s a bit of a big one, is the noise. I use noise reducing earplugs so I can still hear the comms but the wind noise above about 40mph is really bad. Other than that, I love the helmet. I would consider the new tour modular but may wait until there’s some deals on it.

    i'd love to hear a direct comparison between the AGV Tourmodular and the new Shoei Neotec 3.
    my current lid is a Nexx XWED 2 - and i like it very much. however, i'd really like to try a modular as (i assume) it would be nice for gas stops, chatting with folks, , etc.. i can't find a local shop that carries the Tourmodular, so trying on will probably require ordering online and then returning (assuming i don't like). wish there were more places that carried a wider variety - most seem to have 2-3 brands and limited sizes.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  8 месяцев назад +1

      I've oviously spent quite a lot of time in the AGV, but i've nver ridden in the Neotec3 i've only tried it on, so I can't really offer a comparison. The Neotec is very nicely finished and is a more compact shell, but outside of that i can't offer any more advice.

    Thank you for your time and professionalism in making these very interesting videos.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  Год назад +1

      Not necessarily, I see it thrown around as a comment by some reviewers, but I think its one of those myths that stick. Yes there is obviously a small join in the shell which could cause more wind noise, but alot of helmet noise comes from the wind passing underneath, and modular helmets tend to have much better seals around the neck. In my experience I don't think overall modulars are any noiser than standard full face helmets.

      A tough question to answer depending on the style, for a road style full face the Arai Quantic/Contour X is really good. This AGV is brilliant for a modular helmet. The Nexx W.WRL or Bell MX9 offer really good ventilation for peaked adventure style helmets

      I was referring to the point that AGV make about the helmet effectively being weightless at speed due to the lift it creates. But if youare riding a bike with a screen, then that lift is no longer generated as the airflow is interrupted.

    The biggest drawback on the Tour is the same with the Sport - the visor mech. There's no pullback on the visor when down, which means the visor seal will do next to nothing in rain. First time I used the Sport in the rain, it leaked horrendously and did every single time it rained after, even what can be described as mild drizzle, and it's the same with the E1. I sent back the Sport to the UK importers (via my work)and got a credit for it, because it rendered the helmet dangerous due to the Pinlock getting overwhelmed. Because of that, I cannot recommend anything without that pullback in the visor if you are a year round rider. I won't be going for another flip after my Schuberth E1 due to manufacturers constantly missing out on this, and the Neotec doesn't fit me well, so I'll be sticking with Arai, Shoei and the occasional Shark and HJC full faces for this reason

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  Год назад

      Interesting feedback, thanks for that. I have to say that I’ve not had any issues in the rain. When fully snapped down into place there’s a nice tight seal on the rubber.

      I have the sport modular and recently did a 4k tour over 16 days on it where it rained pretty much every day.....including a couple sessions with torrential rain. It never leaked so I can only assume there was a fault with your helmet. The pinlock also worked well.
