Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks to who requested this T.T I have been struggling with this for a long time but never really knew what to do
I’m glad it was helpful! Let me know if there is anything else you want to know about.
Another useful tip for improving tone with an optimal embouchure and how to achieve it. I respect your delivery of these tips because I know how difficult it would be for me to have viewers feel I am personally chatting wtih them in a relaxed manner instead of sitting by myself in a room talking to a camera not knowing how I am being received. It seems this comes naturally to you. I get the feeling you are talking with me as if you were sitting in my home giving me a private lesson. That takes a special talent. Great job.
Thank you! Im glad it feels natural to you! It did take some practice.
I was practicing the etude from Brahms as I was watching this video and when I heard the intro I was very surprised lmao
That’s one of my favorite melodies!
Thanks for listening and doing this video. I appreciate it. I'm actually getting a Wind o this week😁
You’re welcome! I hope it is helpful!
Brilliant thanks great help 😊
I’m glad it was helpful!
Sufficiently impressed with these videos and your instruction I've joined the channel after purchasing your book.
Thank you!!!
Great video man!!
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it!
👍👍👍nice
A great video--thanks so much. At around 3:58 you reference another video of yours. Didn't quite get the name but it sounded like "thinking up with the instrument." Anyway, could you post the link for that. I can't seem to find it. Thanks again.
Here it is! ruclips.net/video/xMiPIVCiOSI/видео.html
@@QuickStartClarinet Thanks!
I’ve started playing again after a few years . Mouth gets tired quickly . Using a 2 strength.

With a soft reed like that the mouth should be able to be fairly relaxed and not get too tired. As long as you are doing the work with the air rather than using too much embouchure pressure and working against yourself.
I recently got my clarinet and one of the biggest problems I have is playing notes with the register key. Do you think you can make a video or something about that
That is one of the hardest parts of playing the clarinet. Here are a few videos I have made before about that. Let me know if they are helpful!

QuickStart Clarinet Thank you so much!
Hello, I have a problem that I hope you can solve, because I am still struggling to get it right. When I put the lips in the right position, saying iii, or German uuu, it all goes well. But when the mouthpiece is in my mouth and I start blowing, it is as if the tongue starts living its own life. It closes in the back, blocking the airstream, going up and down in the middle, and the tip of the tongue gets stiff or curls up or down. That is mostly when I start playing. I haven’t seen any video about this, but perhaps you have one? Or is it possible to give just a short answer?
I really enjoy playing in spite of this, but to get that part of the embouchure correct would be a huge leap forward.
Thank you again for all your very good videos, and I am looking forwards to seeing the 3rd version of your book.
It actually almost sounds like you are doing the right thing with your tongue. Here is a video that goes really in-depth about the tongue: ruclips.net/video/iJPDl0MqlzU/видео.html
It is really helpful to know how it should be and to pay attention to what it is doing but be sure to not over obsess about it. Let the sound be your guide and experiment to find what makes it sound the best and feel the easiest.
Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions!
@@QuickStartClarinet 🤗
I've been playing clarinet for almost 8 years and I have noticed that I have been biting down on my mouthpiece way too much, I don't know what techniques could help me reduce jaw pressure and pressure from my teeth.. hELP
The secret to reducing biting is all about getting the corners in and using the muscles to support the reed rather than biting with the jaw.
A couple ideas to help with that would be to practice double lip to strengthen the corners and top lip. I will do a live weekly warm-up on that tomorrow, and post the replay here for you!
Another thought for the teeth pressure, especially if it is your top teeth, would be to make sure that you are using a mouthpiece patch. I would assume that you are, but there should be a decent amount of pressure from the clarinet coming up into your top teeth that would be quite uncomfortable without a mouthpiece patch.
I hope that helps!
@@QuickStartClarinet thank you for responding, i appreciate all the feedback! i actually stopped using a mouthpiece patch a while ago but i think i’ll start using it again to reduce teeth pressure
Ya, I can't think of any professional players that don't use a mouthpiece patch, so it would probably be good to start using again.
Here is the Double Lip video I mentioned: ruclips.net/video/mYtOHcNnkcc/видео.html
There were some technical difficulties so you may have to skip ahead to get to the start of the video with sound.
4.45am Great
Maybe about how to switch notes
Sure! Anything in particular you would like to know about switching notes?
Hello, I'm sorry when you curl your lower lip over your teeth, the dentures or the chin come out unintentionally, so the dentures and chin should stay in their normal position, just raise the dentures or the dentures and chin so they don't stick.
Playing with dentures can be quite tricky because it is necessary to have a pretty firm lower lip for the reed to vibrate against. Good luck finding the right position and support!
Any hot clarinetists in the comment section?
