- The spa town is located in the picturesque Salinenthal valley in the Rhineland-Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz).

The radon tunnel was discovered in 1904 by the German pharmacist and doctor Karl Aschoff. He established the fact of the radioactivity of the natural springs. Later the doctor and researcher was able to prove the therapeutic and prophylactic properties of the air in the adit and the absence of any harm to the body.Karl Aschoff in 1911 carried out serious comprehensive scientific research. In the course of his research, the doctor was able to prove that the air in the mine adit on the left bank of the Nahe River was free of allergic substances and noxious dust. He found the presence of radon, the concentration of which has a therapeutic effect. Thus a balneotherapeutic spa was created at the site.Radon continuously enters the adit from the mountain crevices. And at the same time its quantity remains at an optimum level to achieve the best possible therapeutic results. In this sense the spa town of Bad Kreuznach is a unique health resort.
Patients suffering from allergies, respiratory diseases, Bechterew's disease, chronic polyarthritis, degenerative joint diseases, chronic gout, ovarian dysfunctions, etc. are treated here. I joined the Army in ‘71. First to Fort Monmouth NJ, then to BK. As I was dental, I had a room at our hospital. I also had a tiny apartment downtown. I believe after I left medical personnel had to live in Rose Barracks. Vas ist los? ❤
