Thank you for all the hard work you put in! I am Dutch, but live in the US. And thanks to this channel I've been able to introduce my favorite TV show to my American friends and the following keeps growing. Planning to host about 8-10 friends next Sunday to watch the first episode and can't wait to start crafting theories with them!
I even ran a one day 'Mole' event at my work for my coworkers and it was a blast. It's been a month and a half and I'm still trying to edit all the video material into a fun episode. I know it's a lot of work and dedication, so I really appreciate you doing this every year! ❤

We just watched the Netflix version in the US and it was great. They did well. But the wisdom (sorry, this may be clunky English) of the Dutch production over the years is obvious and they do it so well.
I saw the Netflix series myself. I didn't really like how just about all the challenges were (largely) carbon copies of the Belgian series.

Not the first time they revisited a previous country. Season 1 and 5 (respectively 1999 and 2005) both featured Australia.

Thank you so much for doing this! I'm going to try to get my american friends into it this year because I love watching WIDM with my wife. And while i can understand a little Dutch, I've been really slow to pick up the language and people talk so dang fast! Like my only complain of 2023's season so far is that the dutch subtitles were too early and occasionally missing and just ugh, so hard to follow when I can't also read to get a little bit more info as to what they're saying. Anyway, thank you so so so so so much for doing this and i'm going to try to get them to give you some tips because I'm poor and can't do so myself

Thanks a lot for your work, I can get why you get a burnout for this. It's a lot of work to subtitle the videos, normally I watch WIDM on TV. After that I rewatch it on your channel because of clues and hints. I hope you never quit! I have recommended this channel to 4 other people, I hope it boost the viewcount for you!

Being able to follow WIDM over the last several years rekindled my love for the Mole series (which I previously had only seen the early-2000's American version), and I actually started recapping the new American Netflix version back in the fall on my channel, which was so much fun. Can't wait to see what they come up with for WIDM 2023! Thanks again!
Thanks in advance for the work that's coming up! You said that WIDM didn't re-use an old season before, but that's not true. In season 1 they were in Australia, and in season 5 they returned there. In season 14 they were in Hong Kong (which is a sort of part of China) and in season 20 they returned to 'main' China. And if you see the UK as one country, they went there two times as well (Scotland in season 2 and Northern Ireland in season 9).

I've been a massive fan of The Mole for 22 years and this will be my first WIDM season watching "live", my love for it was reignited by the Netflix season and I can't wait for a season where the producers actually know what they're doing LOL. Thank you for all of the work you do!! Diving into the WIDM fandom (as much as I can as a non-Dutch speaker) honestly warms my heart with how much love there is for it after being so used to the US version not being very popular.

For everyone wondering, there is this Dutch RUclipsr called “Siem” who makes hints videos with auto generated subtitles available (I get that it is not 100% accurate, but I think with some effort you can understand it) so if you want some extra hints you can check him out
Btw: I also saw this channel with English hint videos called “Julies WIDM” that also makes videos on the Belgium the Mole (which in my Dutch opinion is a lot better than the Dutch one) but I am not sure there are any channels that upload the Belgium the Mole with English subtitles

Do you know how long we’ll have to wait for the newest episodes to be uploaded with subtitles?
I always work on them asap. Usually they are up Sunday before noon. It always depends on whether I can find the footage, how quick it uploads and whether I have plans. So don't be alarmed if it's a bit later. If anything is wrong, I will always post a message in the precious video comment section.

For someone who is learning Dutch and enjoys the show without understanding, probably about 60% of it without the English subtitles. You translating every episode is so so so helpful. But please, if you need to stop as you don't enjoy doing it, then stop. And yes sure there's the 10/11 month break till the next season but sometimes a permanent break is better... maybe not permanent permanent but a year or 2, you know :)
Just an idea: Is there no way to do most of the translation with the Google Translate Record feature and then "just" verify that translation?
I have been using Google for the past few seasons. However, it is quite bad. Google translates per line, so if a sentence is split in 2, which is half of the time, it translates per line. So the grammar makes no sense. Then about 20% is just not translated at all. So I do use Google, but it still takes me a few hours to fix everything.
