I can't imagine how hard it was for OUR President to step aside. I get choked up every time I truly try and put myself in President Biden's shoes. I feel that we, and many others in my military family, are cut from the same cloth. You would have to rip that guidon out of my dead hands before I surrendered my post. If convinced I am the strongest person to represent and protect us... No chance I'm stepping down.
President Biden may have to deal with the idea that, in his own mind, he didn't finish the mission. I certainly hope not but that might be a strong possibility.
I am in awe of his sacrifice!
In my lifetime I have seen and heard of many ultimate patriotic sacrifices given.
I say this carefully and with the utmost respect of all who have paid the ultimate price. . President Biden's decision ranks among the most Patriotic things I know.
You don't have to agree with him, you don't have to like him, you don't even have to want him to be our President but I truly wish ALL would just recognize the magnitude of his actions.
