Tulum has a couple schools down the beach. You will be able to spot them. I would say it's an intermediate spot because of the waves. It's a cool area but it is pricey.

When did you go? Were the rooms hot without AC? I want to stay at Ikarus in February, but am not sure if I'll be able to sleep if it's too humid in the room.:(
