Mrs. Rick grew up swimming on the La Paz beach as her family is scattered thru out the entire barrio. They've been one of the main families for well over 100 years. It's our hangout when we are in town. Really changed over the past few years with the new coastal road and wall. Used to go down and enjoy a romantic evening sitting on the beach basically all by ourselves. Now we take all the apo down and enjoy the food stalls and night market. Not so romantic anymore, but we still have fun. Crystal Beach Resort is making a good name for itself as one of the better resorts along the west coast.
Cabangan's coast just past San Felipe might be a good deal but even past that, the little coastal road in Felmida is charming and romantic!, I believe the best deals are there for private beach houses.
I really like this part of Zambales . Unfortunately it so far from important things like airports, good hospitals etc. and my age requires that I take those things into consideration. I was hoping the US might build or take over a base again in the Philippines. That would certainly influence my decision to live there. I knew about the Australian Village near San Antonio. I guess there is a large Australian expat community all along the coast.
