27:24 Actually You can take part in those fights, just talk to a guy who sets bets 53:50 Well they actually do, Witcher 2 calls for attention 1:48:57 ye, from books specifically, (pretty most of the characters actually) Geralt broke his leg back then Fun fact 1: you can later come back to the banker's "haunted" house and visit Sarah and Corinne Tilly living and having fun together. I don't know how long after tho Fun fact 2: those descriptions that you are reading in bestiary, characters entry and that short narratives when you load a save game are actually written by Dandelion and from his perspective. He's a poet and that's his notes or some kind of novel. You can see that when he writes in those about himself in the first person. "a dear and loyal friend to me and Geralt" ~a section from Zoltan Chivay's character entry.
@@patricemenard8819 Im certain he would never came back there, as me after so many years since i played the game. Then i discovered it by making my next playthrough recently.
13:46 Sarah is a 'Godling', like Johnny in the bog. Had you thrown her out she goes to live with him, so this quest is good either way. 18:10 The banker where you can change coin is on the SW corner of the main square, where they were burning mages. 22:05 Yes, it's good and interesting to get all the back-story. The books end with Geralt's and Yenn's death, as described, Ciri taking them to [heaven?]/[another planet?]/[IDK!], then going 'travelling' between worlds. CDPR set Witcher 1 5 years later and made up a handwavium story of how Geralt didn't actually die, etc. ... W1, W2, and here we are in W3 with Ciri returned, chased by the 'Wild Hunt' [dramatic music]. 27:20 Those fights that go on 'the whole time' in Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige are boxing championships you can enter. There are also horse-racing championships. 1:27:30 Priscilla's song, 'The Wolven Storm', is about Geralt on the path, dreaming of Yennefer ('your scent berries tart, lillac sweet', etc). The lyrics are in the in-game book 'Ballads and Hymns'. 1:48:59 Dijkstra is a book character, former head of Redanian intelligence. 'Events' sometimes put him and Geralt on opposite sides. Once, instead of having Geralt killed, he held him captive to keep him away from trouble, because he respects and even likes the witcher. Geralt saw things differently and shattered Dijkstra's ankle to escape. 2:30:52 All mages can teleport - Yenn teleported away from Vizima remember, and offered to teleport Geralt to Velen. Theirs is a much more limited ability than the Wild Hunt's though, and certainly can't go to other planets. Not even the Wild Hunt come close to Ciri's powers. Dandelion [Book/Game lore]: very briefly, Dandelion is Geralt's best non-witcher friend. He's a 'normal' human, poet, singer, storyteller, and a completely different character to Geralt. He's a big-head, dandy and a womaniser, useless in a fight and most other situations. Nevertheless, he is both famous and the reason for Geralt's fame, because a lot of his stories are about his travels with Geralt, and while Geralt sometimes gets exasperated with him, he is a genuine friend. According to Dijkstra, Dandelion "is almost 40, looks almost 30, thinks he's only 20, and acts about 10". Sidenote: the character descriptions in the menu and spoken loading/epilogue scenes are written by Dandelion, so that's who 'me' and 'I' refer to in those. IIRC: Geralt (obviously), Triss, Dandelion, and Zoltan are the only characters to be in the books and all three games.
@@Bloczek7940 That's only what most fans of the books think about but it not really known if they are in the Arthurian legends. One is actually known and that is Ciri can't follow them(but she would if she could) with her power so they are definitly death but where they spirits go is unknown and a readers fanatsy ;)
@@Bloczek7940 Ciri certainly goes to Arthurian legends (Sir Galahad, Lady of The Lake, et al) but she left Geralt & Yenn to do it. There's the whole ferryman-underworld thing and no hint/explanation of them being saved from death, they don't know where they are and Ciri cries about it, so I've always read the place as 'heaven'. On the other hand the unicorn gives Ciri her powers back and she did 'something' to the Witcher (and presumably Yenn) so perhaps she resurrected them. You should check the books - there are many references in the W3 dialogues/quests. The first two books consist of short stories, so you can even read them out of order if you're not into reading the whole. It's not long reading, and you can probably find it somewhere in internet to "get the taste" At this point i recommend: "The Edge of the World" - Geralt & Dandelion meting, also about elfes situation in this world, so you can better understand game, "The Last Wish" - Geralt & Yennefer meeting, this lore will be important in one quest later in game; To this you can add Geralt & ciri backstory, thoug you probably wont understand more without finishing whole series: "A Question of Price", "The Sword of Destiny" & "Something More" Bonus, with information needed probably in next few gameplay episodes will be: "Eternal Flame" - this short story takes place in Novigrad, and conatains next story-realated character
