I don't quite get the whole concept of car being sold out even before the car is on display. I do understand the whole VIP club getting early exclusive look, if that's the case why bother show it to general population who are happy with Mercedes, Audi and BMW.
The VIP event is for the guys that have invested in this car to get feedback from their clients in case there needs to be changes made! They are the approval authority

Josh Walton koenigsegg didn’t invent that design. Cars built for high speed have had long tapered rear ends since the 1930’s. Search “auto union type C” and you’ll see where the inspiration comes from.
Okay the fact that instead of a lifting or hinged 'air break' they've created ailerons like on a plane except they're made from flexible carbon fibre so it's actually the body flexing not a hinged flap is SO COOL...
I strongly suspect McLaren are downplaying the top speed figures and are planning to attempt a world record. Otherwise, this car and its design make little sense.
It won't be available till 2020 whoa, what an incredible speedster without a doubt. But the camera side view mirrors is already on the Lexus ES in Japan. Sure it'll filter down to other markets as soon as it passes regulations there. But this hyper car i must say is incredible to say the least.
