Game really sunk in as a child, playing alone sitting in a far off room past sunset with the lights low and everything quiet. Even just as an animation they pretty masterfully play on the silence and absence of his parents to build the anxiety and fear.
-at 8 years old this game pretty much got my foot in the door for horror in general, idk that I ever would have had the desire to explore more horror films and games if I hadn't first been "broken in" by Nightmare Ned.

It's heard to put in words how this game captures a child's nightmare perfectly. I'm surprise when I played it recently how mature and dark some of the levels are.

Thanks for working on this game. I absolutely loved the art style, music, and atmosphere. There's something about pre-rendered graphics that, when done right, looks awesome. The game also felt rather chilling and sometimes demented, but still retained a level of goofiness and humor. It almost feels like an animated short from the late-80s/early-90s that one might have seen on Liquid Television. In short, this games is really immersive and creative, and I love running through it.

The Cartoon show kept some of the same themes, colors and art style as the game . It just seemed like a smaller house and there wasn't much of a town or weekly characters ,just random episodes with various dreams . they went over budget and producers had differences anyway .. BUT interesting to wonder IF the series was intended as a one season hype for the game?? .. cross advertising probably happened between the show and game , although the actual Episodes never mentioned the game in any way .. kind of a strange history .. perhaps having a cartoon out, kid's would be more likely to want the game ..what a strange combo , it wasn't a PS1 game or N64 just a straight PC game . Disney went all in

Something seemed odd to me in this. Even though I never got to play the full game I got to try the demo disc with the game preview in it. The ghosts at the end in that version had a different darker tone and alternate lines.
    1st ghost: can't remeber :(
2nd ghost: *guy voices it as if they were crazy "Don't worry (unsheths claws) this won't hurt a bit!"
3rd ghost: *Deeper toned voice* "I'll Teach you a lesson"
4th ghost: *Wacky light voice* "Come on down!"
5th ghost: *Slow deep voice* "We're all alone Ned"
6th ghosts: "Come play us." (unison) "Forever"
Just something I wanted to share as was part of my childhood.
