CPD officer responding to ShotSpotter alert opens fire on child lighting off fireworks, COPA finds

Chicago police initially claimed officers were fired upon by a man while responding to this incident but the Civilian Office of Police Accountability released information Tuesday indicating the person involved was a child and did not shoot at police.

Well the cover up for this cop's actions should be an interesting read. We know they will cover this up and do nothing about attempted murder of a child by an officer. Thats the same thing we would be charged with if we did the very same act.
