    As for the new OC. I remember a quote from Barry Switzer. It isn’t the offense you run, it is the athletes you have running it.

    Wow, so Nic Anderson wasn't a surprise? Sure was for the fan base. Be nice if maybe there was some journalism happening to allude that a huge WR target may not return.

      Seriously. Where is Andrel, is Gibson leaving? Why is Davon not playing over booty cheek sharp? So many questions🤒

    • @stiflr83
      @stiflr83 14 дней назад +1

      @baconator807 no idea. Gibson wasn't playing this year regardless, but it's crazy that Andrel couldn't return. They keep speaking culture and that is why Devon didn't see the field. Hopefully, he stays, and has it together this next season

      I heard stuff came here cause of Hawkins. Dk if it’s true or not but going through instagrams it seems a lot of players fw Hawkins more than Arnold. Might be reaching but it’s jus what I noticed

    • @stiflr83
      @stiflr83 14 дней назад +4

      @baconator807 i think the overall body language when Hawkins was QB was different than with Arnold. Seemed the team went to help Hawkins up from a sack than they did with JA.

    I think one of the factors about Arbuckle being hired, was how long he could potentially be the OC. All of the other candidates would have stayed for a year or two, then back to the OC search again. Arbuckle could stay for 4 or 5 years before he takes the head coach jump.

  • @alanhoweth9859
    @alanhoweth9859 12 дней назад

    It all starts in the Oline. Most offenses work if you have a good Oline.

  • @MrBowen-ei3uu
    @MrBowen-ei3uu 14 дней назад +1

    Ya'll are saying that Arbuckle uses the tight ends a lot. The tight end position only has a total of 19 catches on the season as a whole. Bauer Sharp had 42 catches. I see that Washington states tight end was used in the redzone,he had 6 touchdowns(out of 19 total touches), but to use the word a lot is a stretch. Unless you're also talking about Western Kentucky film as well,I don't see what you're referring to. Please do a video review so we can see it please.

    • @stevejohnson6248
      @stevejohnson6248 14 дней назад +1

      I think there is a 90%% chance he enters the portal and if he does OU has about a 70% chance of getting him. There are a lot of factors that make OU desirable over other teams that would be at the top end of NIL. So I don't personally see it as sunshine pumping.

    • @Im_Old_Gregg
      @Im_Old_Gregg 14 дней назад

      I think it's more likely than not. His OC is here and Oklahoma has to go be competitive in NIL for a QB from somewhere.

    JA has a LOT of talent and desperately needed a real QB coach to help him stand in there and make throws. I realize that is tough having done that at a much lower level, but the pocket was there on NUMEROUS occasions when he had open receivers, and he froze and RAN. With time to make the reads required (quickly - he seldom, did it?), JA will be very dangerous because his foot mechanics and arm strength is there....he may come back to haunt OU but it's best for both to part ways.

    What’s Anderson’s value in the portal? He’s had one good season and been sidelined the other 2. I’m not sure this is 100% his decision. This could be a paycut and an option to look for other options elsewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if he changes his mind

    I really hate losing Jackson he never had a chance but we need to move on. We need Mateer bad he's pretty dang good plus he can help coach Arbuckle's system to the guys we have. if not we need a very good experienced guy who can back up Hawkins or beat him out for the job we need 2 stud receivers if not 3 stud Tight end and possibly 2 these are most needed i get a stud tackle if they are out there. The Jakes are injured so we will see about them, we need a couple defense line guys d line and edge we need a cornerback all these guys need to be studs we don't need wasted depth

    JA is not the SEC quarterback that OU thought he would be. His problem is mental. He can’t make a decision to throw the ball. He almost always takes the easy way out: cut and run. Truthfully he had no faith in his teammates. Good. Ridden that he is gone.

      Sure. But we wanted the defense fixed so badly and he was focused on that. He definitely had his head in the sand of how to manage the offense and I hope he learned from this regardless of how next season works out
