Must say, Anton Rogers was an inspired choice as narrator. Does anyone know if he narrated on other DVD's? Best ever though is the brilliant Mike Arlett, who narrates on many of the S & D and South West vids!
This is the 1st generation DMU - Diesel ⛽️ Multiple Unit train 🚊 is running 🏃♂️ from Liskeard to Looe. Coombe railway 🚃 station 🚉 is a halt station 🚉 has 1 single railway 🚃 track because its a local branch line on the Looe Valley Line. The bubble 🫧 car trains 🚊 has ran on these lines to Gunnislake, Looe, Newquay, Falmouth and finally St Ives in Cornwall. The 1st generation DMU trains 🚊 aren’t with us on these lines part of BR - British Rail anymore. 👍👍
It's strange seeing none of those buffer barriers at the end of the lines, with nothing but the brakes between the end of the track and rolling off the end if the brakes failed.
DX Newington at Liskehard you have a sand drag between the lights and the buffers. At Looe there were buffers. At the reversal there are no buffers as the line went on to a china clay pit.
Cracking, I used to live less than a stone's throw from the Liskeard-Looe line, about a mile from St Keyne Halt back in the 70s when a single DMU carriage worked the line in winter, a double in summer
& I thought they only drank scrumpy. I can understand the mistrust of strangers though,so many outsiders having snapped up so many holiday cottages. Surely some employment with the surf biz at NQ?
We don't really understand your comment. What you are viewing is a trailer, not the whole film. Therefore you would not expect to see the whole film. If you want to see the whole film it is available at video125.com either to download or on DVD. I hope that answers your question?
This video must have been made on a very strict budget. Not likely to find favour by today's enthusiasts. A modern detailed version would be more than welcome!
I’ve got that on dvd and anton Rodgers will be sadly missed
Rest in peace anton Rodgers 1933-2007

It never was a big market, though we have moved on light years now by comparison.
