It is fine for a " startup" for beginners to learn....but it is fraught with glitches/connectivity issues at base - with a whole host of other issues that other competitors have a handle on: first and foremost: cross chain swappability. It may seem like a luxury but it is fast becoming the norm. And sadly, after a year of soley working from exodus - their reluctance to adapt can only be met with my wincing stink eye as I think about the hundreds of dollars spent on swap fees and "roundhouse" approach to nudging people into buying facilitating branch chain gas fee tokens- rather than allowing/ dare I say "innovating" to allow simple swaps from stable coins to base chain gas fee tokens. This is a compounding issue they could address but have not. (Yet?) The interface is clean...it's a beaut. But their follow-up on innovation is supremely lacking...not to mention you'd be lucky to get any human support within 72 hrs. It's purty...seemingly convenient...but don't expect to much.

Billions of dollars are hacked that way on erc20 smart contracts each year, as they are way less secure than a native token and more prone to backdoors and have multiple points of failure. Once they have compromised your seed, since it's a multichain wallet, they have access to all your funds and drain everything they can find. Exodus being non open source on the way their UI (notably) interacts with some other parts, precise failure point is hard to identify, and they usually just say it's not on their end and you must have made some sort of mistake. You can easily find many, many, similar stories with their wallet , just don't use it. Use a cold wallet from which you can sign transactions, preferably air gapped.I get their UI is appealing and all, that's what got me too, and the number of tokens they support is huge. But your money isn't worth the gamble, trust me. Just DO NOT USE IT .
