My first unit was defective and the screen would go black or have a bunch of lines. I spoke with tech support and sent them a video of what it was doing and they sent me a replacement unit 👍👍 been all good since then

Great review, I've been sitting on the fence with picking one up for my Colorado. Seen very mixed reviews for these units, but your review gives me hope. Gonna wait till later in the year for my install, I just fixed the demonically possessed ghost touching on my stock screen.

Got a rsnav unit for the Audi for around 1k too . I wish the rear camera was upgradable like yours. It requires a entire new wire and relay system. Wired android auto works but wireless is finicky.

These screens are getting better and better everyday in terms of use and performance. My only concern is their reliability after couple years. Have you ever considered that and replacing your Atoto with, say, any Pioneer n your 996? Huge job anyway, you have me hooked to that awesome Porsche resurrection!

Did you need that little speaker or the GPS box it came with if your using CarPlay? Installing mine tomorrow.
Got to be honest I love that the only screen in my 2004 E46 330ci is my mobile and then only when I use the maps. It connects thru the tiny parrot screen that I set the same colour as the factory dash light colour...add that to the manual six speed six cylinder and I'm in heaven.. that's all I need. No unwanted extra tech just analogue feel
I would agree more with a fun to drive vehicle. But a big truck needs a nice stereo.

Any options for front cameras to this display or to the factory display so I can see my kids that might be playing in front of my truck? This truck sits up too high too see small children or cats and dogs or other obstacles that might be in your front pathway, I have the 2015 Silverado 2500HD LML Duramax LTZ Z71 same cab as yours just no sunroof. Love your content and that's why I subscribed!

@@matt13ross with aux mode ON, in the console app… aux dongle in center console…. No sound. Remove dongle and still no bueno, thinking maybe a setting?

Dude, you got me sold. So, I purchased one today. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra Denali ultimate, and I HATE the factory radio. My question is, how long did it take you to receive your new head unit? It's hard to find a unit to work with the Bose system, so you sold me. Thanks Matt.

I got the Pheonix Radio a couple of weeks ago. Only having two issues and I’ve been adjusting the settings and on and off the phone with Pheonix until I’m blue in the face.
1st issue: Echoing on recipients end of a phone call. Both built-in and external mic have the echo problem. At first the built-in mic gave me the problem of not being able to be heard on a phone call. Then I found a setting that allows the mic’s parameters to be adjusted. But the remaining issue is the echoing. I found another setting that is supposed to eliminate the echoing, but after testing it out it only eliminates the echo for 2 mins. After 2 mins the echo returns.
2nd issue: Static and Popping in the background audio. There is this issue on all media: Bluetooth, radio, pandora, car play, ect. All connections are good and no aux plug connections are making contact with any metal. I have adjusted the equalizer settings, install set settings, user settings, and even the system info settings which is hidden, trying to “tune” out the static/popping but no luck. I have adjusted the gain levels to either halfway or below and I’ll admit that it did improve but the popping static sound is still present at times.
Any solutions on how to fix. I will be sending mine back for a refund if I can not at least get the echoing phone call issue resolved.
Please respond with any help or guidance as I’m almost reaching my refund policy window.
I don’t have those issues. My advice is to contact Phoenix and get their professional help or opinion.

Good to hear that you're happy with it. I ordered one in the beginning of February based on your previous video. It took over two months to ship. I was told on Friday that it shipped out, but I don't know if that's from the US or China. So I have no idea when I'll actually receive it. I was getting a little buyer's remorse, but hopefully the wait will be worth it.

Yes but it won't show the song if you're using carplay.
The [ PX6 SIX-CORE ] [Special Edition] 12.1" Android Fast boot Navi Radio for Chevy Silverado GMC SIERRA 2014 - 2019 from Phoenix Automotive, does not support wireless android auto. Bought this unit and in high hopes I wouldn't have to use an adapter to connect my Samsung device, but unfortunately after speaking with the support rep from Phoenix Automotive he confirmed that the unit only supports wireless Apple carplay and not Android Auto. You need to use the USB cable provided to get it to work for Android Auto. Very disappointed because over all it's a great unit. Hope this helps!
Ah that sucks. The newer 14" I installed definitely has wireless android auto because I use it.
I ordered the same 1. When I contacted them I asked if it has Android auto and he said yes. But if you have it and it doesn't,that's a big bummer for me because I have a Android galaxy s22

Every review I’ve watched, Ford owners have horrible experiences with this, whereas Chevy owners have great experiences with this 🤷♂️ good thing I have a 2016 Colorado Z71.

Man I bought this exact same unit because I came across your video a while ago. Got it plugged in and installed. Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, no issues with my phone connecting to the system only issue there is a buzzing, hissing noise coming from my speakers and the music or sound will actually play. Do you know a fix to this?
I have all of volume specs turned down like you had yours.
How is your phone connected?
@@matt13ross my phone is connect by the OTG usb plug. Tried wireless car play, Bluetooth it connects just fine. Shows my song is playing but no sound just buzzing through the speakers. I have the aux jack plugged in as well.

@@matt13ross Yesir I figured it out. It was something I did wrong with the Wires. Forgot to plug in the black plug that connect to the Audio box. It all works now. Thanks bud.

Its a hit or miss, had one for my 3rd gen Escalade for several months bought on eBay, and it was junk, it got worse with use and I thought Ill be able to update software or factory reset. But nope, horrible experience and returned it. Made a vid about it. Some people swear by theirs...

One of the things I absolutely despise the most in modern vehicles are those ridiculously huge oversized screens that they love to use for every damn function now. Give me a 7" screen for audio controls only and buttons for climate control and heated seats.
I do agree, I prefer the climate control as physical buttons separate from the screen. Same with volume knob, etc.

So I have the 2015 silverado 35000hd, the WT base model, I updated to the io5/6 8 inch screen, few years ago, it's garbage. Donu see any reasons why the 14" tesla one wouldn't work in that truck? Other then the button on the lower L/R Of bezel, I guss I could buy dummy buttons, should work.
I'd imagine it would work but I would contact the company to confirm first.
