rappeling down from the roof is now way slower than it was last season (its back to the old animation and timing). really hope it's a bug because the faster animation was much better
It's stupid that they're going backward again. The current rappel allowed you to maintain aim on windows/doors to watch for runouts. Now we are back to being vulnerable.
No way they're intending to take all those steps back with rappel. Has to be just some mistake that we get the old animation back. The whole point of new rappel was camera control and making rappelling safer for attackers given that it has a loud audio queue for defenders to leap out while the attacker is defenseless. Surely going to get fixed at some point in TS.
The reason the electricity damage isn't lined up with the barbed wire damage is because the electricity is basic damage over time whereas the wire is based on movement, they're unrelated to each other
Imagine 15 seconds remaining, you have to plant, walking through barbwire with kaid claw on it, gu mine there too, and getting zapped by maestro and clash at the same time

Nothing new. They like to slow everything down, but at the same time give you less time for everything. It was apparent all the way back when they reduced round length from 4 to 3 minutes and then slowed everyone down. So, they want you to be slow, but then force you to run everywhere, cuz there's not enough time. We went from "slow setup, dynamic execution" to "dynamic setup, slow execution".

Slow, precise preparation and then very dynamic execution of the objective. Casual would not be dead, because this is exactly how it was and it was only getting more and more popular. Getting spawn killed was a punishment for mindlessly running to the building. You had time to check for spawnpeeks and you had time to carefully approach the objective. It was a tactical game, not CoD. Now you almost have to run to the site mindlessly if you want to have some time at the objective to do stuff. With all the changes (less time, slower movement, bigger and more convoluted maps) you basically have half the time you had in 2016 siege.
As a console player. I love the barbed wire change. I feel utility doesn’t get respected on console due to xim players rushing. (Why Kapkan is always banned) People will just out right run through Aruni Gates, Smoke’s Toxic Canisters, Fire, and previously Barbed Wire. With very little consequence especially since they have a much easier time aiming and getting kills. I already know someone is going to say “just play by the utility” yeah I do… the thing is there is only 1 of me. I can’t watch every possible entry at one time. Even if I relay the information to my team, that doesn’t mean it happens. There’s jumbled up comms, people just don’t listen, and randoms do whatever they please and hate receiving commands from a stranger.
They need to keep the rappel speed animation of the live build but with the new QoL change. They should also allow any op to kick off windows at any time without having to place a breaching charge first. Later maybe add the ability to rappel around corners of buildings. If Kali could do it in the cinematic, why not in-game?
@@foxi13x Not necessarily. Have you done a hot-breach manoeuvre with breach charges? You kick off the window then detonate the charge right? That's all I am asking. Kick-off a window without the charge and I mean just the kick-off part. The window is not broken. From how I see it, it opens up more teamwork opportunities since it'll not be a breach charge-only move. Eg. You kick-off, Sledge or Buck hits the window, and you're in. You could argue it's faster but it took bodies and coordination to accomplish.

What I believe they could do with the rappelling up animation is have the camera go up to act like the operator is actually knowing where to throw the hook and then go back down to where the player was originally looking Oh and speed up rappelling down cause it’s hella slow
Rappel buff was so good. Being able to get up and down so much faster made for some cool plays and rotate/repositioning. That extra couple seconds looks bad.

I guess it makes sense to buff up barbed wire like this. But the electric damage on it makes it so much better to put on doorways and its sure to have more damage or atleast will let us know if someone is pushing in (IM LOOKING AT YOU ASH!)
It doesn't give you extra damage now the electric dmg just hit you 3 times in the test server where as it hit twice in the current version you took 9 dmg instead of 6 plus 10 from the 2 barbed wire ticks for 19 dmg

With this change to barbed wire, Nökk needs her ability back. She didn’t need to lose her silent step when there are so many audio cues to use. It’s ridiculous.
Looks like the electric damage is 3 dmg per 0.5 sec, and barb damage 5 dmg per 1 sec. Ash spent just over 1 sec running through the wire, meaning she got hit by barb dmg twice and by electric dmg 3 times. This left her with 81 hp: 100 - (2 x 5) - (3 x 3) = 100 - 19 = 81
If they give an option that has to be toggled, then it can be perfect therefore OG's can change their view while the noobs have to manually toggle that option once they have mastered the repel.
People are saying they brought back barbed wire damage I have played since dust line and took a small break during para bellum and grim sky but I never remember it ever having damage
I really don't think the razorwire buff will change much, personally I always break it before moving through. People usually use it on stairs anyways so the threat angles are usually minimized.
Defender’s already have a huge advantage over attackers if they hear the rappel, making it even slower and adding that confusing animation would basically just guarantee your death every single time you rappel from roof in maps like Kafe where runouts are already super popular
I still think we should be able to do a full 360 turn on rappel like I should be able to look in the opposite direction of the wall I rappel on and there shouldn't be anywhere on my screen I can't aim at because im on rappel. I don't wanna rappel on upstairs bathroom window on kafe and get killed from bottom white door because I can't aim far enough in that direction to see the door because im on rappel
@@Sloppenheimer776 It's only for Deimos. Nomad's AK doesn't get grip options because Ubisoft wants to make Deimos a little more appealing since his win rate isn't where they want him. But given how Nomad eventually got grips to the ARX, with time she'll get grips for her AK as well.
I think you misunderstand R6 Fix: "Confirmed: This indicates that the issue has hit its contribution threshold and is ready to be investigated by the development team" Confirmed just means people contribution and it has gone past the threshold to be investigated. We will have to wait until it's looked into to know if its a bug or intentional.

I always thought the old/current rappel was weird. They literally just hold a carabiner clip in their hands for half a second and then suddenly a rope magically appears and they magically attach to it. At least with the New/Last Season animation they actually throw something up to latch on to the edge of the building, instead of just summoning a rope from the Aether. I personally like the “new” rappel more, solely because it looks at least a *little* realistic. Rappling should at least take a few seconds to do anyway.
Been playing r6 since the open beta but i think last season was my last. I just feel the recruit remaster is beyond a joke, especially for long term players like myself because og recruit was literally better as they had access to all weapons plus the fact u could play with a full recuit team. Incredibly lazy considering the fact we r only getting 2 new ops this year. I'm ranting ino but i love this game but i no longer have faith in ubisoft or the team.

rappeling so fast was way to OP try it yourself, Skylight on Villa Border Bank Emerald Plains, you get so many kills off of it Low Elo in early round, high elo in late round when its loud and chaotic, even ProLeague made it work, try it out, abuse it, Border to CCTV Emerald you see literally the entire top floor and they dont hear you rappel!!

I've typically mained trap operators. Do not wait for the last 15 seconds to get in site. At least 30 seconds.
I pop my fuse from the floor above and clear all the util right before I push, or I use a grenade lmao

Current Rappel is better, I hope they reconsider giving us the Deadly Omen Animation with the other benefits you mentioned
I believe they should use the clipping on animation when coming off the roof and the grapple when going up as these would be more realistic.

I’m guessing they made the roof repel,slower so the attackers couldn’t just repel down and peek windows for easy kills. Not a bad play in my book

Why do you keep saying "like old barbed wire"? Barbed wire never damaged people. Old barbed wire made you walk through it slower + took 3 hits to break. Where you getting that it damaging people from?
rappeling so fast was way to OP try it yourself, Skylight on Villa Border Bank Emerald Plains, you get so many kills off of it Low Elo in early round, high elo in late round when its loud and chaotic, even ProLeague made it work, try it out, abuse it, Border to CCTV Emerald you see literally the entire top floor and they dont hear you rappel!!
The game updates are made for pro leagues not the casual players. It sad that Warzone or Fortnite are making updates better than siege.
