I'm not sure on the screws but I got them from a Stihl spare part stockists website and they are usually good for identifying any bit you need. Sorry I can't be more help.
Sonny, that switch shown in your hedge trimmer is a limit switch. To check to see if the limit switch is the issue is to use a multimeter set in ohms for continuity. If the multimeter makes a continuous pitch sound then the fault lies with the switch. I tested my limit switch in my Makita brush cutter which wasn't allowing current through. I since replaced the limit switch i bought on Ebay.
Do you have any idea Matt why my hla 66 sounds way to loud? Got a small hit and now sounds way louder than it should, only used it a couple times. Greetings
I have noticed over time the gearbox can start to make a increaseingly loud clacking noises which I believe comes from the main arm in the gearbox regreasing can help.
I bypassed that IDIOTIC safety microswitch and BOOM, worked again. All this woke safety junk is decreasing Stihl lineup longevity. Not to mention WHY a tool like this needs complex circuitry to have throttle control to vary the speed. Who uses a hedge cutter at low speed..WHO?? I am appalled at the build quality of modern Stihl equipment, it does not last.
Hi Matt. You saved my day. Greetings form a Polish man cutting Irish hedges.

Same! It was the switch! Thanks from Polish man cutting Norwegian hedges!;)
