Salem resident here. Yes, please don't come in October as the town is full of lines and traffic! You'll be waiting a long time for restaurants, and everything sells out. Plenty of Halloween in the other months. Just ate in Turner's this past Saturday, but no ghost mischief!
LOVE hearing from a local! We have met SO many people who are excited to visit Salem and we always tell them "just don't go in October." When would you say is the best time to go?
Good question! Ours was the regular one. I honestly don't remember them offering an adults only option when we went, but that's usually way more our vibe. It looks like they only offer those on the weekends anyway, and we went on a Monday. There weren't any YOUNG kids in our group though, so it wasn't an issue for us.
