From negatives to zero, that's a definite improvement! That assessment sounded ROUGH, I can't imagine being there for that. I really appreciate Raden's optimism in all of this.
Honestly I love how a member of the musically focused unit needed a half year training arc to reach *average singing level* Glad to hear Raden is proud of her hard work so far though, hopefully she'll reach a point where she's more comfortable singing, and I've love to hear those recordings lmao Thanks for the subs!
I find it even more impressive. Hololive saw so much potential on Raden that they really went like "We can't lose her! We'll make this work! Call the best coach we have!!".
@@LapisD I've seen people say that part of the Idol 'experience' is to see the talents improve and grow over time. It makes sense to me that rather than just pure talent, Cover might be looking more for passion and desire.
iirc, Laplus said she sent her audition in about 3 years ago. Keep in mind her 2nd anniversary is in a few months. I think more and more recently there are Holomems hired far ahead of their reveals and debuts.
@@neroneroren6788 Hololive have models ready well before they even have a talent to use it. Who knows how many they have sitting in their company servers
the amount these girls need to practice, train and prepare to become a Vtuber is really something. wish the horde of "Vtweeters" would learn from things like this.
The plot twist is that you _have_ to have already showcased a ready talent in either being a goof-ball, being amaze-some at singing, or have skills that not a lot of people can have. Not that VTweeters matter; you have to just start that "stream" button and start broadcasting.
@@FiredAndIced Yup, to get into Hololive you need to showcase a pre-existing skillset that they are looking for. The rest can come through training, like singing in Raden's case.
Thank for the vid, you also cut it on the worst time hahaha, I really wanted to hear the last "Ahhhh" after she drank what she had and the you could have cut the vid there, that would have been awesome.
ngl this sounds like a main character on the first episode of a musical anime. but my favorite part was the self awareness. the most annoying thing about people who can't sing is that they act as if they're good.
not surprising, both booze and smoking are traditionally banned in voice training for a reason. especially for someone who want to pursue singing career professionally
Hope the voice training is company policy by now. Suisei had a surgery because of a vocal chord nodule! And vacations due to voice issues are not uncommon
I'm gonna say Risu probably did already in Holo, though. Because she said she has been training breath control between 3rd and 4th fest, so she can sing that hard song. I assume she had a legit voice teacher for this.
What really is the criteria for joining Hololive. Singing is probably still no1 but we can see some don't sing well without training but they still bring something else to the table
Well ReGloss is special bcs they're separate from main branch Hololive, so they might have different requirements, but usually for JP, ID, EN they require SOME experience in content creation, whether streaming, or blog posting, writing, online art, music, SOMETHING where you interact with an audience in some way or create things to share. and I don't remember what othere requirements there were but I personally believe they prioritise charisma, personality and uniqueness over skill and experience. we can see here with Raden, she was a bad vocalist, and she has really bad nerves when streaming (and she isn't an illustrator or am exceptional gamer) yet here she is. she's genuinely a nice interesting person with quirks that can be endearing. and I just found out she does photography, on top of being very passionate about art, so she has experience in art. but I think Cover has just mastered finding genuine, authentic people, and they're just willing to trust that they'll do well after training them to sing and stream.
I'm convinced Raden's vocal coach was Chika Fujiwara lol
i am waiting THE RAP LEESON
> singing with one leg up
> with diaphragm
She is this close to Mongolian throat singing
Honestly, I can see her doing so

You can teach almost anyone to sing, but being an entertainer requires a spark from within the person and motivation that you just can't teach xD
Subaru perhaps being the penultimate example of "with enough passion anything else can be worked on later" xD
Honestly, the most surprising thing to me in this is that they were all hired more than half a year ago.

Not surprising since they have a lot to plan like commissioning an artist, rigging, planning debut, etc
*shuush* don't tell him about how long EN3 was hired before debut. *mind blown*
not weird at all, mumei and fuwaMoco had around 6 months they were hired to first debut

She really is a great talker, thanks for the clip!
Ok, I knew they were lying when they said ReGloss is a "singing focused" unit....
Nope, they are 1000% comedians.
and the new debuts from Flow Glow... a new batch of Comedians
As someone who can't sing like a normal person either I congratulate her
I can now say for sure that her vocal coach did a really good job.
Her whole setlist really consists of SMAP songs lmao
Dont give up Raiden.
Thanks for translating ❤️

Really appreciate these clips for marine and raden bro.
I'm waiting for Marine and Raden to do a song together, they have similar voices.
dying at the psa she gave about drinking and smoking at the end 🤣
gambare vocal coach
I have one of those, you put them on your chair. It forces you to keep moving so you train your core strength. Part of back pain management
Really nice to see more translations of Raden’s stuff. Thank you!
If it's your hobby.... don't give up on hard way...keep pass raden...you are strong girl i know
Despite all this, still the most endearing of the group IMHO.

To be fair, Suisei does a lot of singing and probably voice work behind the scenes, so her situation isn't uncommon
Are there any holomems who have done professional vocal training, except for Nerissa?
Outside of Holo? Probably not many of them, although some were actual idols before, so there had to be some training.
I'm gonna say Risu probably did already in Holo, though. Because she said she has been training breath control between 3rd and 4th fest, so she can sing that hard song. I assume she had a legit voice teacher for this.

idk I love her opening in seventeen cover, actually I like regloss voice overall I guess that's the result of the training ?
